Japan airport is very efficient and fast. I’ve always made it my connecting flight with that route and short layover. Only thing is, not enough time to grab a bowl of ramen in Narita

I would say two hours is preferable. I've made it through Narita with a 45 minute layover, but it was harrowing! I had to shout that my flight was leaving and push my way through crowds at security. I would prefer never to do that again.

One time flying through Narita, there was a lot of confusion over my boarding pass for some reason. I would have missed that connection if it had been less than a couple of hours.

Katie thanks for the advise. I think I will look for at least a 2 hour layover. I dont want to be in a panic.

Rebecca I've flown through Narita about 8 times and language has never been an issue for me.

If you have an 8-10 hour layover at Narita airport you must visit the town of Narita - 1000 yr old temple and beautiful gardens and the town is cute too

Just flew yyc sin via nrt last month and the security check at nrt was very slow. Do not recommend short transfer....but the airport offers nice free tours of marina if you do miss! And Ana has several flights a day, so just take the next on.

If you are flying ANA fir both legs, they should not allow booking without the proper slotted time. If they do it is their responsibility. If it is two different airlines they are not responsible. Read their terms and Conditions
