We stay at Ramada in Kent. Breakfast, airport shuttle and great hospitality. Nothing exotic and clean & reasonable.

Trying bidding on hotels at priceline we had pleasant surprises usually end up in business district. Bid 3 star or better. If you find a reasonable one post it as prices have gone up and are expensive!

I like Hotels.com as it lists hotels. Pricing is best far in advance or last minute.

Not in actual downtown Seattle. Cheapest would be the Quality Inn just out of Belltown area. Seattle is even more expensive than YVR and with the exchange it's a killer. All downtown hotels also have huge parking cost usually 30 or $40 a day

With regards to parking, you can pay street parking during the day and it's free in the evening, best round about way for not paying huge hotel parking fees

I know but we find it a hassle to have to be there to move car at certain time especially after happy hours. Ha ha

I stayed at The Loyal Inn just a few weeks ago and it was nice. Got a good deal on it through Trivago/Booking.com. It's more the Belltown area, just a few blocks from the Space Needle, Chihuly Glass, and the Museum of Pop culture. About a 15-20 minute walk to Pike Place Market.

I stayed in the Roosevelt hotel on pike and 7th recently. Great price and location. Rooms were a little small but really nice.

The Moore Hotel. Best value bar none. Relatively cheap parkade a block away. 2nd ave right above Pike Place Market
