We did. No problem. Why USD though? Did u compare with Expedia.ca? Expedia.ca let's you cancel without fees. If paying USD make sure you have a USD credit card.
Misha

My mum and aunt swear by it. I personally always got way better rates from the American Costco website. Be sure to check there too.

It's good. Use the bidding system all the time. You also don't need a US credit card. Any card will do
Mahsa
It's always best to use USD credit card for us transaction that way you don't get charged the extra 2.5% fee! Hidden charges!! Lol
Amanda
Mahsa but you don't "need" it. It's not like they can't use Priceline without it.
Mahsa
No no.. Any visa or MasterCard works! International companies!
Colleen
Hotwire is grand.
Dana
Hey Wendy - it's the only way I book a car when traveling- great rates & very reliable!
Lynn
Just don't forget the company will charge for insurance too, which can be more than the rental. I refused insurance (as it was covered by my credit card) and they charged me to file paperwork for saying no.
Kate
Credit cards usually do not include third party liability, FYI.
Icbc has a package, for around $50/year you can add a package to your existing insurance that includes rental cars AND third party. Then you are covered and the insurance from your credit card also applies as well
Lillian
Definitely get the icbc (roadstar?)rental car package before leaving. it will save you the $10-15 per day the rental company will ask you to get. most credit cards have collision damage waiver but not 3rd party liability.

Priceline.com: A Review of Its Car Rental Services
Introduction
Priceline.com is a popular online travel agency that offers a variety of travel-related services, including car rentals. In this blog post, we will take a closer look at Priceline.com's car rental services, including its bidding process, reliability, and customer service.
How Does Priceline.com's Bidding Process Work?
Priceline.com's car rental bidding process is fairly simple. To start, you will need to enter your travel dates and destination into the search engine. You will then be presented with a list of available rental cars.
Once you have found a car that you are interested in, you can place a bid. Your bid will be a set price that you are willing to pay for the rental car. If your bid is accepted, you will be charged the bid amount plus taxes and fees.
Is Priceline.com Reliable?
Priceline.com is generally considered to be a reliable company. The company has been in business for over 20 years and has a strong track record of providing quality customer service. However, it is important to note that there are some potential risks associated with using Priceline.com's bidding process.
One of the biggest risks is that your bid may not be accepted. If this happens, you will not be able to rent a car from Priceline.com. Another risk is that you may be charged a higher price than you expected. This can happen if you do not carefully read the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
What is Priceline.com's Customer Service Like?
Priceline.com has a dedicated customer service team that is available to help you with any questions or problems that you may have. The customer service team can be reached by phone, email, or chat.
In general, Priceline.com's customer service is considered to be good. The customer service team is responsive and helpful. However, there may be some wait times if you contact customer service during peak hours.
Conclusion
Priceline.com can be a great way to save money on your car rental. However, it is important to be aware of the potential risks involved in using the bidding process. If you are not comfortable with these risks, you may want to consider booking your car rental through a traditional car rental company.
Wendy
Hello there! Has anyone ever used Priceline.com for car rentals? I bid on a mini-van for $13usd/day and it was accepted. A mini-van bookin would normally be at least double that amount. Wondering if the site reliable? Has anyone had any problems with Priceline before? I know you have to pay in advance. Thanks all!
