Call 1-855-733-6815, Medoc Travel Insurance. You pay for the year so don't have to worry if you travel outside Canada again.

There are lots of Island Savings locations down around Victoria/Brentwood/Langford if you decide to try that one

If you belong to a professional group for retirees, you may get a group rate. Medoc was best for my husband and I [teachers] compared to BCAA, Pacific Blue Cross etc. They have a new option that is two months out of the country on the yearly plan rather than one month. Additional months have a supplementary charge per month.

Think twice before considering BCAA. Heard horror stories of them not paying on claims.

I used baca and had a claim. They were awesome. So helpful when the hospital in Florida wanted to charge me even though I bought the 0 deductible. One call from them straightened the hospital out. A little more than others but I think worth it. I have house with them and two claims over the years. Not a problem there either.

Travel Health Insurance for the 65+ Crowd
Traveling abroad is a great way to experience new cultures and see the world. However, if you're over 65, you may be concerned about your health insurance coverage. Medicare doesn't cover medical expenses outside the United States, so you'll need to purchase travel health insurance.
There are a number of travel health insurance companies that offer plans for the 65+ crowd. Some of the most popular companies include:
- Seven Corners
- Allianz Travel Insurance
- GeoBlue
- HTH Worldwide
- IMG
When choosing a travel health insurance plan, it's important to consider your age, health, and travel plans. You'll also want to compare the benefits and costs of different plans.
Here are some tips for finding a reasonable travel health insurance plan for the 65+ crowd:
- Shop around and compare plans from different companies.
- Consider your age, health, and travel plans when choosing a plan.
- Read the policy carefully before you purchase it.
- Make sure you understand the coverage limits and exclusions.
- Purchase your insurance policy well in advance of your trip.
By following these tips, you can find a reasonable travel health insurance plan that will protect you in case of a medical emergency while you're traveling abroad.
