Or Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort on the island.

I stayed at the Pacific Sands and the Best Western Tin-Wis. Love them both.

Tigh-Na-Mara is nice as well it is in Parsville and you would not have the long drive in the winter on a terrible highway to Tofino.

That's the main concern --I think thy have issued the snow tires warning now
tofino is known for storm watching in winters I believe -- I loved the website for sparkling hills Ruqayya -- who wouldn't want to be surrounded by sworavski!! Vernon drive is about 5 hrs so let's see on that

Saw this on travelzoo. It's a great deal! The kingfisher is fantastic & you're only about a 30min drive to mt Washington, so you could do both.

Yes I saw that too Cheryl!! And they have availability -- lets see, their hydro path spa looks amazing !!

The hydro path is wonderful! Highly recommended. If you go, plan to drive into comox. There are lots of beautiful beachy areas where you could storm watch as well if it's windy.

i would suggest do one of the local bed and breakfasts if in tofino--the price differential is quite significant

Aaaaahh beautiful BC!

Sana

Good call Neeham but you have to be in a mood for B&B- if you looking for some solitude it may not be ideal depending on how private it is -- still on the lookout

Any opinions on sooke?

The Tin Wis in Tofino has a good deal on for the winter storm watching. It has great food, nice rooms and much cheaper than the super upscale resorts on the west coast.. We love it!

My favorite place is Parksville! Only a 20 minute dive from Naniamo. In low season, I love staying at Beach Acres Resort..a cabin right on the beach. So beautiful! The resort has an indoor pool and hot tub. And there's lots to do around Parksville like Cathedrral Grove and Coombs Market.

Thank you so much Nicole!!! I'll definitely be saving these tips!!!

I've stayed at the Kingfisher and the rooms are nice but the hydropath is amazing. Cant beat the view from their dining room and the customer service is second to none. In Parksville, definitely the Tigh na Mara for sure. All of their rooms are gorgeous, the grounds lovely and short steps to the beach. You must, must try the mineral pool though if you go, if nothing else.
In Tofino, you'll get more bang for your buck at Middle Beach Lodge - so cozy and homey you'll never want to leave! Wonderful surroundings and staff are excellent! A little bit more elaborate in Tofino but well worth the extra money is the new Black Rock Oceanfront Resort - stunning is all I have to say. Nicest place I have stayed on the island. Do have the chicken enchiladas in the lounge though if you do decide to stay there - unbelieveable views from every corner in that place and the most gorgeous and modern amenities! I recommend the Wild Pacific Trail suite - right on the water. Victoria is lovely if you want to shop but very hectic and if you are looking for relaxation, I would head to the other end of the island instead...
