few options for countries - not sure if they are "must go", but these are definitely good ones:
1. Bali 1 week - must go in my book
2. Thailand 1 week
3. Cambodia 1 week
4. Vietnam 1 week
there goes your 1 month...

Don’t forget travel time! And Vietnam needs a visa - you can arrange that in advance.

A few years ago the Cambodia visa was no problem - just got at border or airport. Vietnam was different - had to apply early online. But that could have changed. Best to check with embassies.

One clarification - Bali is not a country (Indonesia is) - reason is I don't have any other place I would recommend as Indonesian

Loas was my favourite country. It depends on how you are planning to see the countries . I like to travel by train or bus or boat, you get to see the country that way, if you fly around you just get snippets of each country.
