Rbc or your credit card if you booking with it will often have insurance, or your employer

Thank you Debbie! I did look into our RBC westjet MC. A lot of the insurance (health) is covered for free, but only for 14 days....which was good to know! We'd like to travel longer than that so it would require a top up,along with the trip cancellation/interruption.

I book with CIBC. In August I was in a jet ski accident and my leg was broken. They were phenomenal to deal with. Sent me the forms while I was talking to her and reimbursement was quick. Best part was I could choose my own hospital. Many tell you where to go. They even covered the damage to the jet ski. I won’t buy from anyone else.

Dealing with this right now! I have emergency travel with my employee benefits , Alberta Blue Cross, but remembered I thought I also had it with RBC Visa. Didn't think about any of it, until I took myself and kids to Mexico, and we were delayed coming home because of a medical emergency with my son. ABC covered everything except my daughter's flight home. When I called Visa, they said I also had Travel Interruption insurance, and they'll be covering my daughter's flight (and would have covered all the medical if I didn't already submit with ABC). Definitely recommend checking with your credit card company, they were excellent to deal with, very helpful, empathetic and trying to get me covered for any expenses they could.

Yes the best I know is Shelagh from [email protected]. Her phone number is 250 581 0058. She will research what is best for you, whether it be adding onto your work plan, your house insurance plan, a new carrier, and will get you the best coverage even if you have a preexisting condition.
