That looks cool. Using Google Maps' transit function it shows 4 trains and where they connect. 11 hour trip. I don't know specifics but this is where I would start.
Brian
Shows train numbers and platform numbers if you enter the right dates and times. Love that function for transit in Vancouver. No guessing.
Josh
Thanks buddy!
Andre
I've done it, you disembark from the train and have full access to the ferry. You get back on the train before you dock on the other side. The biggest surprise for me was that there was no free wifi.
Josh
Lol do you know which trains specifically? Or is the Google pictures above?
Andre
I'm not sure what you mean, I took the train from Copenhagen to Berlin and we did the ferry thing. I don't know what the train number or company was...
Josh
lol oh then how did u figure out how to do it? i read a site that had instructions in english but linked to a bunch of german sites to buy tickets and it would not translate well, nor were tickets available for April (to far in advance)? or maybe I could not understand properly the translations
oh the "google pictures" above I was refering to the posts that Brian posted above with pictures based on the google maps
Andre
I bought the tickets from the Eurorail website. When everyone started getting off the train at the ferry, I followed them. That's how I learned how to do it.....
Josh
ok thanks. you bought individual tickets or you had a eurorail pass with unlimited riding?
Andre
We had a 4-day eurorail pass
Josh
Oh OK and that gives you unlimited travel. No additional tickets requires? But you still reserve a spot inline?
Andre
Just go here and read up, you'll learn everything you need to know http://www.eurail.com/

Europe train travel question: has anyone taken the train from Amsterdam to Copenhagen via Hamburg? The train gets loaded onto a ferry and sails to Copenhagen. The route also works in reverse. I've read all the information online but its still not clear the exact steps.
