Okanagan! Close, affordable and really relaxing!
Depends what you want to do though. Lots of places on Vancouver Island too
Eloise
the okanagan gets booked up months in advance. Don't take your time or you may not get accomidation that you want. I have friedns who go every summer and they book ahead
Ildi
How about Tulum? We have a great 2 bedroom with pool. It will be very quiet and peaceful. www.vrbo.com/467209
Ildi
For something local try Sunshine Coast.
Ildi
The web site is not completed yet. What information do you need?
Ildi
There is a facebook page Casa Pelicano Tulum Vacation Rental.
James
Thanks. Will take a look!
Ildi
You can always call me. I'm in Vancouver!
Alvin
Like others have said, there's the Sunshine Coast and the Okanagan. You could also try Osoyoos. If you wanted to get a little farther away you could do a drive down the Oregon Coast.
Mitzi
Caribbean is hurricane season. Cheap prices but not always predictable weather
Ildi
They are calling for a quiet hurricane season and they are not common in Tulum during summer. You might get a quick tropical downpour.

Budget-Friendly Family Vacation Ideas with a 10-Month-Old Baby
Planning a vacation with a young baby can be challenging, but it doesn't have to break the bank. With a little creativity and research, you can find affordable destinations that offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience for the whole family. Here are some budget-friendly vacation ideas for you and your 10-month-old baby.
Camping in a State Park
Camping is an excellent budget-friendly option for families with young children. State parks often offer affordable camping fees, and many have amenities like playgrounds, hiking trails, and swimming areas. Pack your camping gear, a few baby-friendly toys, and enjoy the great outdoors together. Just make sure to research the park's facilities and amenities to ensure they meet your family's needs.
Beach Town Rental
Renting a vacation home or apartment in a beach town can be a cost-effective alternative to hotels, especially if you plan to cook some meals at home. Look for deals on vacation rentals during the off-season or shoulder seasons, when rates are typically lower. Spending time at the beach is a great way to keep your little one entertained, and many beach towns offer family-friendly activities like boardwalks, playgrounds, and outdoor concerts.
Visit Family or Friends
If you have family or friends living in a different city or state, consider visiting them for your vacation. Not only will you save money on accommodation, but you'll also have the opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones. Your baby will enjoy the change of scenery, and you can explore the local attractions and restaurants together.
Road Trip to a Nearby City
Exploring a nearby city or town can be a fun and affordable vacation option. Pack your car with essentials for your baby, plan your route, and hit the road. Look for free or low-cost activities like parks, museums with free admission days, and local festivals. You can also find budget-friendly accommodations like Airbnb rentals or affordable hotels.
Remember, the most important thing is spending quality time together as a family and creating lasting memories. With a little creativity and flexibility, you can find an affordable vacation that suits your needs and budget.
