You can visit the west side of the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. Highly worth it

Road Trip Itinerary for the Southwest US

First Stop: Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a great place to start your road trip because it's a major hub with plenty of rental car options. Once you've picked up your car, you can head out on your adventure!

Day 1: Las Vegas to Zion National Park

Zion National Park is a stunning natural wonder with towering sandstone cliffs, lush canyons, and cascading waterfalls. There are plenty of hiking trails to explore, ranging from easy to challenging. You can also take a scenic drive through the park or go for a swim in the Virgin River.

Day 2: Zion National Park to Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park is another incredible natural wonder, known for its unique hoodoos—tall, thin spires of rock. You can hike among the hoodoos, go horseback riding, or take a guided tour.

Day 3: Bryce Canyon National Park to Grand Canyon National Park

The Grand Canyon is one of the most iconic natural landmarks in the world. You can hike along the rim of the canyon, take a mule ride down into the canyon, or go rafting on the Colorado River.

Day 4: Grand Canyon National Park to Sedona

Sedona is a beautiful town known for its red rock formations and spiritual vortexes. You can go hiking, biking, or shopping in Sedona. You can also visit the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village or take a tour of the vortexes.

Day 5: Sedona to Phoenix

Phoenix is the largest city in Arizona and a great place to end your road trip. You can visit the Desert Botanical Garden, the Heard Museum, or the Phoenix Art Museum. You can also go shopping, dining, or hiking in the nearby mountains.

Tips for Planning Your Road Trip

* **Book your rental car in advance.** This will ensure that you get the best price and the car you want.
* **Plan your route ahead of time.** This will help you avoid getting lost and make sure you have enough time to see all the sights you want to see.
* **Pack light.** You don't want to be weighed down with luggage on your road trip.
* **Bring plenty of water.** It's important to stay hydrated, especially in the desert climate of the Southwest.
* **Be prepared for all types of weather.** The weather in the Southwest can be unpredictable, so be sure to pack clothes for all types of conditions.
* **Have fun!** Road trips are a great way to see the country and create lasting memories.
