The Polynesian cultural center is amazing! It’s a great way to learn about all of the different cultures. They have a great night show and dinner.
We also enjoyed going to the dole factory and eating pineapple ice cream.
Snorkeling is great in many places.
Hiking Diamond head is a neat vantage point.
Enjoy!

Tricia this is basically what we do every time we go

Did you find reasonably priced accommodation?
Kat
Lorraine with airbnb yes. About 120 night Canadian. vrbo had some great options but it sounds like they have been pushed to take longer stays so their prices aren't set correctly. Frustrating for all parties involved.
Janine
Just experienced this longer accomodation issue. Was advised by vrbo that rental accommodation ruling changed in August such that any rental that doesn't have a TVU agreement, then it needs to be a minimum 30 day stay. From what I'm understanding this is to curb foreign ownership which drives up housing prices for locals looking to purchase a home. So very few places in Oahu have approvals to be short term rentals

I've messaged a few and they can do short term thankfully through airbnb. For shorter stays through vrbo , nightly costs are just more expensive.

The Shirokiya Japan Village Walk is my favorite. Also the little beach by the Hilton in Waikiki has a good truck that sells garlic shrimp and garlic fries and it's awesome ! I was there in November last year and im going back in January. I love it there !

A must drive to the North Shore as well.
