We're here right now it's amazing!! If you want a hostel, stay at Hostel Beogradjanka. I've stayed here twice now and had an amazing time (super comfy beds and amazing staff!!!). Go see the fortress and the Tesla museum, pack warm clothes, and eat LOTS of Serbian pastries!!!!
