Taking a red eye flight this summer on air canada. I haven’t flown internationally since before COVID. Are airlines providing blankets on red eye flights or has that service been removed?
Thanks also any suggestions for best travel pillows? I’d prefer ones that aren’t enormous but are comfortable.

Airline blankets are not washed much so I’d bring a comfy long wide scarf you can use well your away.

Most airlines don't provide blankets anymore, even pre-covid. You can usually purchase one on board.

Flew back and forth to Japan and they had blankets. Seemed fresh. I’m sure were washed.

I pack a pashmina in my carry on. Serves double duty as a blanket and an evening wrap. Leave the airline blanket in its plastic wrapper and use behind my back on a long flight

Red Eye Flight Amenities and Travel Pillow Recommendations

As international travel picks up again after the COVID-19 pandemic, many passengers are wondering about the availability of amenities on long-haul flights, particularly during red eye hours. If you're planning to take a red eye flight with Air Canada this summer, here's what you need to know about blankets and some suggestions for comfortable travel pillows.

Are Airlines Providing Blankets on Red Eye Flights?

Air Canada has resumed offering blankets and pillows on longer international flights, including red eye flights. However, it's important to note that these amenities may not be available on shorter domestic or regional routes. It's always a good idea to check the specific policies for your flight before traveling.

Best Travel Pillow Recommendations

A good travel pillow can make a significant difference in your comfort during a long flight. While there are numerous options available, here are a few recommendations that strike a balance between portability and comfort:

1. Trtl Pillow

The Trtl Pillow is a unique and compact option that supports your neck without taking up too much space. It's made of fleece and features an internal support system that helps keep your head upright and aligned with your spine.

2. Cabeau Evolution Pillow

The Cabeau Evolution Pillow is a memory foam pillow designed specifically for travel. It features a flat back and raised sides to support your head and neck, and it can be easily packed into your carry-on bag.

3. Huzi Infinity Pillow

The Huzi Infinity Pillow is a versatile option that can be used as a neck pillow, lumbar support, or even a compact travel pillow. It's made of soft, breathable bamboo fabric and is easy to adjust for optimal comfort.

Remember, comfort is subjective, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's always a good idea to try out a travel pillow before your flight to ensure it meets your needs.

With the right preparation and amenities, your red eye flight with Air Canada can be a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
