My cousin is getting married and is contemplating where to do a destination wedding. For those of you who have had a destination wedding, where was your destination, how many guests, the cost, and what was your experience.

That's a loaded question. Your cousin should get in contact with a travel agent who specializes in Destination weddings. I just had mine at Now Sapphire in October. We had 53 people including us. Not including our travel we paid about 9700cad and we were given some great deals as I am an agent myself.
You can do it for less than a 1000 or up to 100000 depending on what you want.
It's best for them to know their must haves and their absolutely dont wants

My brother just got married in Tuscany in Italy. They rented a private villa that’s is famous for weddings. Slept 18 people and they also owned a nice little motel across the road for the extra guests. He had 25 people. It was amazing. I can get the wedding planner into if it’s something you want to look at.

We got married on a cruise ship then set sail for a week. Some guests came just to the ceremony and others stayed and cruised with us. It was perfect and super easy to work with the wedding coordinator and a photographer and some pics were included. Amazing

We got married on Maui, feel free to PM me with questions if that is a location your cousin is interested in. We had 40 guests and the great thing was people could stay anywhere on the island that fit their budget and we rented a private venue for our wedding. It is not a cheap destination but worth every penny.

We were married at the iberostar rose hall suites in montego bay! It was great. 61 people ( what had a deal and we had enough people go, that hubby and I went for free) really cut the stress out.
If they are very high maintenance, it wont be cheap, but it can be very very affordable

My husband and I just got married on the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland in September. We lucked out with the weather- it was 20C, not raining or windy. We only had 4 people adventure over with us. The actual wedding costs including photographer, minister, flowers and I got my hair and makeup done came to around $4500.

Destination Wedding Experiences: Where to Go and What to Expect

Planning a destination wedding can be an exciting and memorable experience, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. From choosing the perfect location to managing travel arrangements and accommodations for your guests, there's a lot to consider. In this blog post, we'll explore some real-life destination wedding experiences shared by couples who have taken the leap.

Tropical Paradise in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Sarah and Mike tied the knot in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, with 50 of their closest friends and family members. "We chose Punta Cana because of its beautiful beaches, all-inclusive resorts, and affordability," Sarah shared. "Our total cost for the wedding, including flights, accommodations, and the resort package, was around $25,000."

Sarah and Mike's experience was nothing short of magical. "The resort staff went above and beyond to make our day special," Sarah added. "We had a beachfront ceremony, followed by a reception with delicious food and an open bar. Our guests loved the opportunity to turn the wedding into a vacation, and we all had an unforgettable time."

Rustic Charm in Tuscany, Italy

For Jessica and Tom, the decision to have a destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy, was an easy one. "We wanted a venue that reflected our love for wine, food, and the Italian culture," Jessica explained. With 75 guests in attendance, their wedding at a charming villa in the Tuscan countryside was a dream come true.

"The total cost for our Tuscan wedding was around $50,000, which included accommodations for our guests, catering, and the venue rental," Jessica shared. "While it was a significant investment, the experience was priceless. Our guests raved about the breathtaking scenery, the delicious Tuscan cuisine, and the warm hospitality of the locals."

Intimate Beach Celebration in Tulum, Mexico

For a more intimate affair, Amanda and David opted for a beach wedding in Tulum, Mexico, with just 20 of their closest friends and family members. "We fell in love with the stunning beaches and the laid-back vibe of Tulum," Amanda said. "Our total cost, including flights, accommodations, and the wedding package, was around $15,000."

"The best part was the sense of adventure and the opportunity to create lasting memories with our loved ones," Amanda added. "Our wedding was simple yet elegant, and we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the local culture and enjoy the natural beauty of Tulum."

Whether you're dreaming of a tropical paradise, a rustic Italian villa, or an intimate beach celebration, a destination wedding can be a truly unforgettable experience. By carefully considering your budget, guest list, and personal preferences, you can create a magical event that you and your loved ones will cherish for years to come.
