Hello travel community! Planning a 6-week road trip mid-April to end of May: Vancouver - Los Angeles - Winnipeg - Vancouver. Looking for your suggestions, particulary about 1) Pacific Coast Highway higlights between San Fran and LA, and 2) interesting stops around Capitol Reef National Park, Arches, Canyonlands, Rocky Mountain in Utah and Colorado. We've already explored Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion. Couple in our 60s, love food, wine, long walks and nature. Thank you for your help!!!!

Diane if u plan to visit at least 3 national parks, be sure to buy a parks pass (valid for one year) and way cheaper than individual admission.

If going from Vancouver to LA then the Oregon Coast is a must. And absolute must. Other than Santa Barbara between SAN Fran and LA that’s the best part

I agree on the Oregon Coast!! The Monterey Peninsula (17 Mile Drive, Big Sur, Monterey) is lovely.

Also Moab area, Dead Horse Point, Corona Arch (hike) and Arches Nat Park. If you are fit and keen hikers, Fiery Furnace (ranger led slot canyon hike in Arches) is amazing, as is Delicate Arch. Colorado Monument between Fruita and Grand Junction is great too.

Diane first time I drove the Oregon Coast I was alone and at every stop I was blown away by the beaches and rock formations. I camped along the way. Amazing.

In Utah, if you are hikers or scramblers, try heading down to Escalante and the slot canyons. Quite amazing and no crowds. Also we had a great hike in Canyonlands. Worth getting off the beaten path.

We took a guided hike right by Monument Valley in Utah with Carol. It was a highlight of our trip! https://www.airbnb.ca/experiences/214589?location=Utah%2C%20United%20States&checkin=2019-06-10&checkout=2019-06-14&adults=1&children=0&infants=0&source=p2&currentTab=experience_tab&searchId=119c02c2-379b-4fbf-bb48-ffc1058e41e8&federatedSearchId=121626fb-fb3d-4f14-ba7c-ebd3b3245d1b&sectionId=19b4bc5d-db74-45e6-a3e0-03de73b2c2ea
