Any recommendations for places to see/visit in Belgium, Paris and Amsterdam?

For Belgium, I recommend spending a few days in both Ghent and Bruges. For Amsterdam, I recommend visiting the Albert Cuyp market and eating a meal at Du Duval. The Anne Frank House, and the Dutch Resistance Museum are also well worth a visit. Reserve tickets on-line in advance for the Anne Frank house to avoid standing in a very long line to get in. The Amsterdam City Pass is worth purchasing, if you plan to see many of the tourist attractions in that city.

No problem! As far as Paris is concerned, if I were you, I'd skip Paris and visit Marseille and Nice instead!

Puneet when are you going to Amsterdam? Anne Frank tickets are only available on-line until june 1 and look to be completely sold out through the two month booking window. Hopefully this won’t impact you but it sure has impacted me!!

Robin Keep checking the on-line availability. I was able to get my mom a last minute ticket (3 days prior to visit) through the on-line system last July.

Dana thanks I will keep trying. But right now the issue is that folks don’t have an opportunity to line- up to buy tickets, even early morning or late day. There are “works” going on which has resulted in swamped on- line sales.

For Paris.. of course the Eiffel tower make sure to book your tickets online for a specific time to avoid the long lineups !! The louvre museum make sure you have like atleast 3 hours (I am not a museum person but we easily spent 3 hours there) the catacombs definitely book your tickets in advance very long lineups and please avoid if anyone is claustrophobic!! Definitely look into the Paris city pass we loved it(free transportation on bus or metro , front of the line access to multiple different attractions , sight seeing boat cruise and lots more)

Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, canal cruise, Zaanse Schans Windmills, Marken and Volendam..take the little boat across the water, walk, walk, walk..lots of great places to see on foot. Take a day tripout to Zandvoort (great beach and town) Make a stop in Haarlem on way back and maybe head down to The Hague..All easily accessed by the trains!

Add in a visit to Utrecht!

Stay at Fit Hotel in Amsterdam

Anne Frank house for sure. Also, if you are a foodie, de foodhallen is awesome. A day trip to Giethorn is worth while as well. In Belgium our favourite place to go is Ieper (or Ypres in French). The tour of the Salient and Canadian WWI history is amazing. Tune cot cemetery, st. Julien Memorial, Essex farm (where John McCrae wrote in Flanders Fields) all amazing. I have gone 3 times. I recommend Ypres Salient Tours - if you can, as for Lucas to guide you. He was amazing the last time I was there. Also, for beer fans, heading to the monestaries for the Trappist beers (Westmalle and Westvletern were from our last trip). If you have a car, Vimy Ridge, Beaumont Hamel and Norte Dame de Loretta are all incredibly amazing and historical sites. We always stay at the Novotel Ieper Centrum. If you go to Bruges, the adult-only hotel biskajer was amazing! The couple the run it were so sweet. Cambrinus for drinks if you are into beer. In Paris, we have stayed in many different arondissments - which hotel depends on which area and how long you are there for. Not sure your interests, but Paris has so much to see and do. Croissant and baguette (and cooking classes in general) through La Cusine Paris are amazing. I love the tour of the Palau’s Garner. View of the Eiffel Tower from the Trocadero at night, and view of the city from the top of the Arc de Triomphe. Nice free view from the roof of the Gallery Lafayette. Best Italian food I ever had at Obermamma near Republique. Don’t ever eat on a touristy street near a monument - worst food for the highest prices. Learned that lesson on our first trip. Don’t skip Paris! Harlem is 20? minutes by train from Amsterdam and is a fantastic place to stay. Nice hostel too.
