We love the Honua Kai condos in Ka’anapali. Gorgeous condos on the beach and central.

Hands down Ka'anapali The Sheraton or Westin are amazing. There are many others that are okay as well.

Consider using Vacation Rental By Owner (vrbo) to book Kihei Alli’i Kai in Kihei.
Super central and a block from the beach.

Kehei is usually sunny (in the shadow of a volcano!) and there are a lotta condos- pick your price. We love the big public beaches like big beach and the one in front of the Grand Wailea.

No recommendations on a place to stay as we hated our rental but you MUST eat at Star Noodle
Make a reservation though as they are busy busy.

We enjoyed the Maui Vista condo's in Kihei. Directly across the street from Charlie Young beach.

I second this - Maui Vista is not directly on the beach but a two minute walk across a crosswalk to one of the best beaches on Maui (Charley Young Beach is also known as Kamaole 1) and within walking distance of grocery stores. Kihei has the driest weather on Maui, is conveniently located to amenities including restaurants and the airport and is not far at all from anything really.

Been a few times, stayed at the Hale Pau Hana condos in Kihei, beachfront on a beautiful cove, fabulous for swimming. Would def stay there again

Hale Kai O'Kihei is right on the beach. Shops and restaurants walking distance.

Stayed here last summer. It has an obstructed view of the ocean and only 2 minutes away from Kam iii beach where I encountered many turtles!

I thought I heard that the new law is going to ban holiday rentals or something like that?

Kihei is probably the best area to stay for on a budget and you are close to some beaches you can snorkel and see turtles and there are lots of cheaper meal options too. But you need to have a Costco card as they are the cheapest by far for gas and groceries and punakea palms is a cool place.
