Book yourself a room in the heart of the city and explore. Depending on the time you land and when you leave, you may get to see some of the great sites. If not, enjoy a great meal, walk around to experience the energy of Lisbon and then maybe seeing some of the sites early in the morning. Lisbon is amazing. It’s the reason why I moved to the city. I was there in 2019. I'd stay in the Terreiro do Paço (Praça do Comércio) area or ALfama area. It is amazing. There is a whole area there with shops and coffee shops if you want to shop jsut past the arches. The Alfma is is super cool and they have shows with fado music which was very cool if you want some culture at night. There is the famous yellow tram you can take up the hill there too and a castle at the top with a 360 degree view of the area... Its only 20 minutes form airport and They have uber everywhere. Have a blast Portugal is amazing!

Alfama is the best part of town. Time out market is great for tying lots of types of food. The entire city is amazing

What to do on a layover in Lisbon
If you have a long layover in Lisbon, there are plenty of ways to pass the time. Here are a few ideas:
Visit the city center
Lisbon's city center is full of historical sites, museums, and shops. You can easily spend a few hours exploring the area on foot.
Here are a few of the most popular attractions in the city center:
- São Jorge Castle
- Lisbon Cathedral
- Jerónimos Monastery
- Belém Tower
Take a tram ride
Lisbon's trams are a great way to see the city. You can hop on and off at any of the stops along the route.

- Tram 28: This route takes you through the Alfama district, the oldest part of Lisbon.
- Tram 15: This route takes you along the Tagus River.
- Tram 25: This route takes you to the Belém district, where you can visit the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower.
Go for a walk along the riverfront
Lisbon's riverfront is a beautiful place to go for a walk. You can enjoy the views of the city and the Tagus River.
