Looking for India Tour Recommendations for Two Female Travelers in October?

Question:

Me and a fellow female friend are looking to go to India for about 1 week in October. I definitely want to see the Taj Mahal and I believe the golden triangle seems to be a pretty popular tour. Does anyone have any company tour recommendations? We have looked into GAP tours. Would prefer to use a local company there if we could. We are fairly indifferent between having a private tour for the 2 of us versus group tour (anyone have suggestions/preferences between the two?)

It’s a long way for a week, you need a minimum 10 days,

Nah, just go back again. I did Japan for 5 days then went back for 2 months when I had the time. Travel with whatever time you have!

I went to India for 2 weeks last time I was there, but my sister only joined for 1 of those weeks. We did the Golden Triangle together. Planned it all ourselves. Yes, more time would be great when you're going so far, but my sister had a fabulous time and saw some amazing places in only a week

I was there in 2017. We rented a car driver, guide for the day and hotel. It was worth every penny. Do not go to the Taj without a guide.
If you are interested, I will look for the contact.

Did you just do day trips from Delhi? Where else did you travel around?

Contact me if you’re still stuck. We took out family and did top to bottom (Amritsar to kanyakumari) in less than a month. You don’t NEED tons of time but you’ll WANT it once you’re there.

If you use him, tell him Harriet , tour guide(Canadian) and Ross (N.Z). recommend him. Ask for the driver Dill. He was amazing.
Let me know if you need more information. A week in the triangle will give you a good taste.
Nice to see 1 factory. They don’t believe you won’t buy anything. Be firm.

We were in a small b&b in Delhi. They arranged a taxi and driver. It cost little compared to what we would have paid if we had booked a tour from here.

Just a tip for the Taj Mahal. If you are doing a drive from Delhi to Agra do it in the early morning. You will get to enjoy the place with less crowd and it's a lot safer than making a night drive.

Been to India twice, always recommend you book through your hotel, they offer packages based On your price range and is always cheaper than booking from here. I usually land in Mumbai and make further plans from there- one week is definitely not enough!

India Trip: Touring the Golden Triangle and Taj Mahal

Are you planning a trip to India with your female friend? If the Taj Mahal and the Golden Triangle are on your itinerary, you've come to the right place! In this blog post, we'll explore some tour company recommendations and share insights on choosing between a private tour or a group tour.

The Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle is a popular tourist circuit in India, comprising the cities of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. This iconic route offers a fascinating blend of historical monuments, vibrant cultures, and stunning architecture. It's no wonder that it's a must-visit destination for many travelers.

Taj Mahal – A Wonder of the World

The crowning jewel of the Golden Triangle is undoubtedly the Taj Mahal. This breathtaking marble mausoleum, built as a symbol of love by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, is a sight to behold. Its intricate carvings, intricate designs, and mesmerizing beauty make it a true wonder of the world.

Tour Company Recommendations

When it comes to exploring the Golden Triangle and the Taj Mahal, choosing the right tour company can make a significant difference in your overall experience. While GAP tours are a popular option, many travelers prefer to support local companies that offer authentic and immersive experiences.

One local company that comes highly recommended is Incredible India Tours. They offer both private and group tours tailored to your preferences and budget. Their knowledgeable local guides provide invaluable insights into the rich history and culture of the region.

Another excellent option is Indian Panorama Tours. This family-owned business has been operating for over two decades and is known for its personalized service and attention to detail. They offer a range of tour packages, from budget-friendly group tours to luxurious private tours.

Private Tour or Group Tour?

The decision between a private tour or a group tour ultimately depends on your preferences and travel style. Private tours offer more flexibility, personalized attention, and the ability to customize the itinerary according to your interests. However, they tend to be more expensive than group tours.

Group tours, on the other hand, are a more budget-friendly option and provide an opportunity to meet fellow travelers from around the world. They typically follow a set itinerary, but you'll benefit from the expertise of a knowledgeable guide and the camaraderie of a small group.

If you prefer a more intimate and tailored experience, a private tour might be the way to go. However, if you're open to meeting new people and don't mind a more structured itinerary, a group tour could be an excellent choice.

Whichever option you choose, be sure to research the tour companies thoroughly, read reviews, and book with a reputable provider to ensure a memorable and hassle-free experience.

Happy travels to India!
