I went with a tour group for 3 weeks last October and my highlights of all the places that we went through were Marrakesh, Rabat Cheffchauen, Sahara Desert, Essaouira.

Check out Said Tours (from trip advisor). I used them for a recent short trip to Tangier and chefchouen and they were OUTSTANDING.
Marrakech is nuts, and quite expensive compared to the rest of the country. It’s fabulous, but there are many other places to see. Tangier can be done in a day or two, Chefchouen is stunning, Fez is like a mini Marrakech. I didn’t do the Berber mountains, but really wanted to.
I felt much safer than I anticipated I would...
Have fun!

Traveling to Morocco with a Toddler in November

Morocco is a captivating destination, offering a unique blend of vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and rich history. November is an excellent time to visit, as the weather is generally mild and pleasant. If you're planning a trip with your husband and toddler, here are some suggestions for places to stay and travel:

Accommodations in Marrakech

Marrakech is often the starting point for many travelers to Morocco, and it's a great place to experience the country's alluring charm. For families with young children, consider staying in one of the traditional riads (traditional Moroccan houses with an interior courtyard). Many riads offer family-friendly accommodations with spacious rooms and amenities like pools or playgrounds. Some recommended family-friendly riads include:

  • Riad Kheirredine
  • Riad Laksiba
  • Riad El Nour

Exploring the Imperial Cities

Morocco's imperial cities, such as Fez, Meknes, and Marrakech, offer a wealth of cultural experiences and historical sites to explore. However, be mindful that navigating the narrow streets and crowds with a toddler may be challenging. Consider hiring a local guide or taking a guided tour to make the most of your visit while ensuring your family's comfort and safety.

Relaxation in the Coastal Towns

If you're seeking a more relaxed pace, consider spending a few days in one of Morocco's coastal towns, such as Essaouira or Agadir. These destinations offer a laid-back atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and a chance for your toddler to enjoy the sea and sand. Many hotels and resorts cater to families, offering child-friendly amenities and activities.

Desert Experience

For a truly unique experience, consider a day trip or overnight stay in the Sahara Desert. While it may be challenging with a toddler, many tour operators offer family-friendly packages that include camel rides, stargazing, and traditional Berber hospitality. Be sure to pack appropriate clothing and supplies for the desert conditions.

No matter where you choose to stay in Morocco, be prepared for a vibrant cultural experience, delicious cuisine, and warm hospitality. Remember to pack necessary items for your toddler, such as snacks, toys, and comfortable clothing, and be mindful of their needs during your travels.
