Brent
Vania that is a 4 hour drive from Vancouver.
Vania
Brent yes, but that's relative. To me that's a short trip considering the size of the province. Just a suggestion, I'm sure people will suggest other lovely places as well.

It's amazing, and well worth the time it takes to get there.

Vania thanks!

Travel Zoo has some good Vancouver hotel deals right now.

Some high-end resorts on the Sunshine Coast just a short and scenic ferry ride from Vancouver. Rock water, painted boat, ruby lake lodge come to mind immediately.

Thank you so much everyone! There seem to be a lot of good options. We’re leaning towards sparkling hills but wondering if someone has been to the wickaninnish inn in tofino? Its also one of the other options we are considering.
Brandy
Rizwana Lalani beautiful but a heck of a windy drive to get there..
Rizwana
Brandy yeah thats the only deterrent. We also decided not to fly so will be taking the ferry if we choose this option.
Brandy
They're both very different trips.. the Wick is definitely like mountain cabin style, not rustic exactly but similar. If you go to Sparkling Hills, you have the wineries, but I also know a few little gems as I used to live nearby.. PM me if you decide to go that way!
Anna
Rizwana Lalani I prefer Long Beach Lodge in Tofino and Pacific Sands (Cox Bay beach is prettier in my opinion too!) but the Wick is lovely too. Hands down Tofino is way better than Vernon. I personally think Sparkling Hill is just ok! Nice but I’d pick Tofino!
Rashmi
Hazelnut Inn

Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre on Vancouver Island is always an amazing place to stay and beautiful oceanfront views etc.. also Crystal Cove in Tofino. If you like golf or just even lake and mountain views Sandpiper Golf Course in Harrison Mills close to Harrison Hot Springs has beautiful cabins and acres and acres of trails and tons of great places to go in the area, hiking, ATVing, hot springs etc.. I have stayed at all of these places. I am going back to Sandpiper for a few days this summer.

My partner and I are looking to take some time off and stay in BC the first week of August. Any recommendations on hotels (4 star min) would be much appreciated. Looking for something quiet and beautiful with breathtaking views. Hoping it’s a short trip from Vancouver.
