We stayed at the Paros Hotel in the Island of Paros. September is low season so it will be less people. The hotel was right across from the water and on the first floor had an amazing restaurant that the locals went. I'm looking for it on the internet but I can't find it though. If I find it I'll let you know

I am also booking a Santorini trip in high season (end of July) next year. Am I better off to book a cheap flight to Europe and fnd a cheap flight (ie ryanair) once I'm there or wait on a deal through a budget friendly search engine (ie hopper)

Romantic Getaway to Greece

Are you and your husband planning a romantic getaway to Greece this September? If so, you're in for a treat! Greece is a beautiful country with so much to offer, from stunning beaches to ancient ruins. In this blog post, we'll share some of our top tips for planning your trip.

Where to Stay

When it comes to choosing a hotel, you'll want to find a place that's both romantic and convenient. We recommend staying on a calm swimming-friendly beach, so you can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. Here are a few of our favorite hotels:

  • The Grand Resort Lagonissi in Athens
  • The Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas in Crete
  • The Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort in Mykonos

What to Do

There's no shortage of things to do in Greece. Here are a few of our favorite activities:

  • Visit the Acropolis in Athens
  • Take a boat trip to the islands of Santorini or Mykonos
  • Hike through the Samaria Gorge in Crete

What to Eat

Greek food is simply delicious. Here are a few of our favorite dishes:

  • Moussaka
  • Souvlaki
  • Baklava

Getting Around

Getting around Greece is easy. You can fly into Athens International Airport (ATH) and then take a ferry or bus to your destination. You can also rent a car, but be aware that traffic can be heavy in some areas.

Tips

  • Book your flights and hotel in advance, especially if you're traveling during peak season.
  • Get a travel insurance policy in case of unexpected events.
  • Learn a few basic Greek phrases.
  • Be prepared for hot weather, especially in the summer months.
  • Pack light so you can easily move around.

We hope these tips help you plan a romantic getaway to Greece that you'll cherish for years to come.
