Do one of the tip based New Europe walking tours that leaves from St Michel. Far better insight into the history of the city, and then you can visit the Eiffel tower in the afternoon

Morning: Follow Rick Steves Historic Paris Walk, featuring Ile de la Cité, Notre-Dame, the Latin Quarter, and Sainte-Chapelle.
Afternoon: Tour the Louvre.
Evening: Enjoy the Place du Trocadéro scene and a twilight ride up the Eiffel Tower.

I think in short time this is the most economic and best way to get introduction of Paris, different routes will touch all the important tourist attractions. Make sure you stay energetic & well hydrated (and please don't wrap much carry on stuff), Bon Voyage

We just came back from Paris and did the Big Bus (hop on/off) tour for two days, it included a river cruise which was great and a night bus tour (kinda boring!!) Enjoy your trip!

Is the Hop-On/Hop-Off Tour in Paris Recommended During a 24-Hour Stay?

If you're only in Paris for 24 hours, you'll want to make the most of your time. One way to do that is to take a hop-on/hop-off bus tour. These tours allow you to see all the major sights of the city at your own pace.

Here are a few of the benefits of taking a hop-on/hop-off tour:

  • You can see all the major sights of the city in a short amount of time.
  • You can get on and off the bus as often as you like, so you can explore the city at your own pace.
  • The tours are narrated in multiple languages, so you can learn about the city's history and culture.

Here are a few of the drawbacks of taking a hop-on/hop-off tour:

  • The tours can be expensive.
  • The buses can be crowded, especially during peak season.
  • The tours can take a long time, so you won't have much time to explore the city on your own.

So, is a hop-on/hop-off tour worth it if you only have 24 hours in Paris? It depends on your budget and your travel style. If you're on a tight budget or you want to explore the city at your own pace, then a hop-on/hop-off tour may not be the best option for you. However, if you're willing to spend a little more money and you want to see all the major sights of the city in a short amount of time, then a hop-on/hop-off tour may be a good option for you.

Here are a few tips for taking a hop-on/hop-off tour in Paris:

  • Purchase your tickets in advance online to save money.
  • Arrive at the bus stop early to get a good seat.
  • Bring a map of the city so you can track your progress.
  • Take advantage of the free Wi-Fi on the buses.
  • Don't forget to get off the bus at the Eiffel Tower to take some photos!

Have a great time in Paris!
