Question:
Humans say...
David
We used fabric travel pillows (found everywhere and in most airports). Has never been a problem.
Elle
Love the Turtl !!
Worth the money hands down.
Travels well and packs up small into a backpack once you get there - also used it on bus trips etc when I was in asia.
Got my parents one each ahead of our trip to the Philippines (17 hours) … my dad has never been able to be comfortable enough on a flight to sleep and he loved this! Slept for 4-5 hours and avoided awkward neck pain.
I even bring for road trips now and use in the car
Lynda
Travel pillows - inflatable or not are allowed on all airlines that I am aware of.
Andrea
I have a neck pillow that actually has a little vibrating massage unit in it, lol. I love it. Not inflatable, so occupies some space( i usually bag it and carbine to the outside of my carry on) but i have never regretted bringing it on a long flight. Purchased in BKK, so cant name the brand, sorry. Perhaps a google search could yeild one!
Dave
I bought one of these on Amazon for my long distance flight I’ve used it twice , and I like it extremely comfortable!!
Minh
Dave I've tried this one and find it takes up so much room. If you're in the inside seat then maybe as you'll be juggling with it as others want to get up from their seats next to you. Trlt, love it and is a bit to get use to. They currently have a promo and a 100 days guarantee.. if not you can return it after your trip.
Catherin
Minh I had one of them and it stunk of rubber, out it went bought a neck pillow in the dollar store fab
Trina
Dave I have this too and I love it. It is a bit large once its inflated but I can get some serious sleep with this.
Daniel
Dave Thats HUGE. Imo not ideal for travel.
Dave
Daniel you ever have a 13hr flight ? It’s extremely comfortable .
Douglas
Dave I have one of those and it is great. In a plane you semi inflate it for a window seat to lean against the wall. Or full inflate and lean frontwards. I also use it if the hotel has flat pillows. Highly recommended. I travel a lot making videos for YouTube under the name of DougP Vlogs
Lily
I love my J Pillow for it's versatility. I also have a few other styles of travel pillows and usually take a few, as I am like the Princess and the Pea.
Jill
I like the turtl pillow
Liz
Just tried the trtl and didn't love it - maybe my neck is too short or something but I felt like it was shoving my jaw in an uncomfortable way. Maybe see if someone you know has one that you can try out first to see if you like it.
Lynne
use your pillow from home that you sleep with, put it behind your back...I think that would pass..I travel all the time with mine...use double pillow cases to protect the pillow, great for a bad back
Judy
I tried the turtl pillow for 2 long hauls and am not in love with it. Too hot but 5ere is a new one on the market that is supposed to be cooler.
Kate
I liked the trtl. My son hated it.
If you like to lean your head against the foldable headrest of the seat, it kind of replicates that feeling, but with the ability to move it around through the flight.
Tammy
I make and sell travel pillows that are incredible !We used ours on our trip to Mexico in January and they were amazing ! I make them with a clip so you can attach it to your carry on bag too. Plus when you get home , you can use it on the couch or in bed to watch tv

Love the ttrl pillow! My tall 16 yr old and my 80 yr old mom also loved it. Long flights to Australia and it worked great for all of us.
Amy
Turtl 100%. I find it difficult to sleep on airplanes. Turtl holds your head supports your head securely and allows you to drift off without constantly having to adjust. Plus it’s easy to pack, fits into a side pocket easily.
Terry
Love my turtl, very comfortable and compact
Daniel
I bought one with a Hoodie attached to it. Throw on some headphones, gulp a glass of wine and watch/play your fave shows, movies, games.

The Best Travel Pillows for Long-Haul Flights
Long-haul flights can be grueling, leaving you feeling exhausted and stiff upon arrival at your destination. A good travel pillow can make all the difference, providing much-needed support and comfort during those long hours in the air. But with so many options out there, which one should you choose?
Inflatable Travel Pillows
Inflatable travel pillows are a popular choice for their portability and versatility. When deflated, they take up minimal space in your carry-on, making them ideal for frequent travelers. Most major airlines allow inflatable pillows on board, as they pose no safety risk when properly inflated.
One highly-rated option is the Turtl travel pillow. This unique U-shaped pillow wraps around your neck and provides support for your head and neck in various seating positions. Many users rave about the Turtl's ability to minimize head-bobbing during sleep and its adjustable fit.
Memory Foam Travel Pillows
For those who prefer a more substantial pillow, memory foam travel pillows are an excellent choice. These pillows contour to the shape of your head and neck, providing superior support and pressure relief. While bulkier than inflatable options, they often come with a compressible design or removable cover for easy packing.
The BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow is a top-rated memory foam option. Its unique design supports your chin, preventing your head from falling forward during sleep. It's also machine-washable and comes with a compact carrying case.
Other Considerations
When choosing a travel pillow, consider factors like your preferred sleeping position, the size and weight of the pillow, and any additional features like adjustable straps or machine-washable covers. It's also a good idea to check your airline's carry-on restrictions to ensure your pillow meets their guidelines.
Ultimately, the best travel pillow is the one that provides you with the most comfort and support during those long-haul flights. Don't be afraid to try out a few different options until you find the perfect fit for your travel needs.
