Stop just before Bonners Ferry at the bakery It’s attached to a general store. Delicious place! It on the right hand side just before the first traffic light
Brigitte
You have many choices. Sandpoint is 39 minutes - Spuds Restaurant is great. Ivanos Italian in Sandpoint. Joels is amazing true Mexican food (we spend alot of time in Mexico and this place is authentic).
Definitely buy some Amish cheese/mests from the 2 delis in Bonners before the first lights.
Couer D'Alene - Texas Roadhouse - if you've never been to one definitely go for dinner. If you go before 6pm they have specials for $9.95 for dinner.

Brigitte the Mexican in Ponderay is better

If you would like something relaxing....take a boat tour of the area on Lake Coeur'd'Alene

Spokane is close by and if you are from Alberta you are tax exempt in Washington. Our favorites are Jalepeno's( salsa and chips, amazing), city beach in Sanfpoint, Dutch Brothers coffee in Coer D'Alene, Trader Joe's in Spokane
Michelle
Make sure you go to the museum at Farragut.

Silverwood at Athol, Id. Just north of C d'A. Wonderful family entertainment at a ok price. Waterpark and rides.

Old European Restaurant @ Post Falls and Tubbs Falls for hiking.

We drive all that way just to nosh at Cracker Barrel. It's extremely budget friendly & always tastes like someone's grandma is in the kitchen whipping up her secret recipes. Top marks go to the fried catfish, hash brown casserole, campfire brisket & the biscuits
Mike

We camped at farragut, take your bikes! Couer d'Alene, Sandpoint, priest lake are all great spots to visit. There is a boat launch in the park. Lake pond Oreille is beautiful. I love that whole area.

We go camping at Farragut every summer. For sure take advantage of their three 18-hole Disc Golf Courses. They host the national championships there because the courses are so well done and definitely challenging. They also have a 9-hole beginner Disc Golf course great for kids! If you don’t own any discs, they can be bought at the Park office/store for a reasonable price. The old frisbees aren’t adequate for these courses. And a bonus, ALL their courses are free and it’s first come, first served. Of course, you gotta spend at least a day at Silverwood, too!
Emily
There’s an awesome roller rink in Hayden - which is just before CDA. It’s fun for the whole family
Rachel
Roosevelt Grove of Ancient Cedars & Granite Falls not far from Priest Lake & a bit north of Nordman.
