Check out Costco online if you have membership. You can monitor the pricing too, and if it changes, re-book the cheaper price and cancel your original reservation.

Entertainment book maybe

Thrifty was the best out of Tuscon. Budget is always the most expensive.
Élån
One without a rental sticker, safer.

If you have a car here you can get your insurance extended to any rental in n America for much cheaper than the optional coverage from the rental.

Have had two great experiences with EZ Rentacar in Las Vegas. Great prices both times, no additional fees of any sort, no hassle. Had a flat tire many hours away in Tucson with their car, but when the tire shop said it couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced, EZ gave me no hassle and authorized and reimbursed me for the cost of the new tire.

(Had originally booked Alamo through the airline, and then found out there'd be extra charges on arrival, and the other time thought I was getting a good deal through Fox, but also got there to find big extra charges, which is when I cancelled that on the spot and walked over to EZ again)

Costco! And keep checking after you book.

Road Trip Car Rental Deals in the Southern States
Planning a road trip through the beautiful Southern states? Here are a few tips on how to save money on your car rental:
- Book in advance. The earlier you book your rental car, the more likely you are to get a good deal. Many car rental companies offer discounts for early bookings.
- Compare prices from multiple companies. There are a number of websites that allow you to compare prices from different car rental companies. This can help you find the best deal for your needs.
- Use a coupon code. Many car rental companies offer coupon codes for discounts on rentals. You can find these codes online or in travel magazines.
- Rent during the off-season. If you can, try to rent your car during the off-season. This is typically from September to April. Rates are often lower during this time.
- Consider a weekly or monthly rental. If you're planning a long road trip, it may be cheaper to rent a car for a week or a month. Many car rental companies offer discounts for these types of rentals.
By following these tips, you can save money on your car rental and enjoy your road trip through the Southern states.
