I just spent a week in Iberostar Ensenachos - the resort and staff were both fantastic..!! The beaches there, amazing. The food was terrible.
However, during my first trip to Cuba we stayed in 'Casa Particulares'. In Varadeo, we were in an apt that was on the beach, clean, friendly, and very comfortable with lots of GREAT restaurants all around..

Valentin perla Blanca Cayo Santa Maria Cuba.
Book a package through Transat or sunwing.
New modern resort. Stunning beach.
Great food. BBQ service on the beach to your chair!

We stayed in a four star resort and yes the food isn’t spectacular. However that wasn’t what I was there for and I think you should be flexible and remember that it is an island so if they run out of something they will substitute with something else. For example they ran out of French fries at one point and substituted it with fried banana chips. Equally delicious though!

I’ve been to Cuba twice and yes, the food is bad. Cuba is not a rich country so be careful but I’ve stayed in Hotel ROC Barlovento and Palma Real in Varadero both all inclusive and there’s also lots to do, Rum and Cigar Factory, swimming with the dolphins, Jungle Safari, Havana

Cuba is not a good holiday. I travelled all over the island. I Di t understand why people want to go to a county like Cuba and stay at an AINC anyway. What’s the point.

I’ve been to Varadero several times and typically rent an apartment in town but I loved Sol Palmeras when I stayed there. The food was great, especially the fresh fish and pasta bar. The restaurants in town are really good as well if you want to venture off resort. Varadero night life is great and it’s super safe at any time of day/night. Great bands at the Beatles outdoor bar and Pullman Hotel. I’ve been all over South America and the beaches in Varadero are hands down the best you will find. I like spicy food so I bring cayenne pepper with me! There’s a double decker bus you can take into town during the day which is cheap and fun to ride.

Can anyone recommend an all inclusive resort in Cuba please? Have heard some horror stories about the food, so it would be great to hear where people have had positive experiences. Thanks!
