Celestun for the flamingos. Uxmal for the ruins, similar to Chichen Itza but without the crowds. Cenotes for swimming in the clear fresh water.
Michelle
Ditto on Uxmal

Puerto morales is lovely. Rent a car - and also go to isla mujeres and rent a golf cart for the day- such fun!

Skip Cancun! Punta Allen south of Tulum
Is a national park with lobster fishing village. Beautiful drive
Jane
Bag Cancun and Cozumel. Holbox, Merida, Puerto Morelos all are excellent. Agree with Ruth about Punta Allen, fabulous little place.
Jenny
Thats a ton of area to cover, how long are you there for? Tulum is a 2 hour drive from Cancun. Cozumel is a ferry ride and everything else is in between. I book all of our condos with www.cozumelvillas.com they also have condos in Play and Akumal areas.. up and down the coast.
