What are the Best Things to Do in Cancun, Tulum, Merida, and Cozumel?

Planning on going to Mexico with some friends end of April/May. Wanting to do Cancun, Tulum, Merida and Cozumel. Does anyone have any recomendations for accommodation and activities that we can do in these areas or just any advice and tips for Mexico in general? Thanks

Celestun for the flamingos. Uxmal for the ruins, similar to Chichen Itza but without the crowds. Cenotes for swimming in the clear fresh water.

Don’t skip Isla Mujeres. Playa Norte is beautiful.

Puerto morales is lovely. Rent a car - and also go to isla mujeres and rent a golf cart for the day- such fun!

Merida.........Casa del Balam is lovely and the restaurant Bistrola 57 was really good! So much good food in Merida.

Try a local tour company to see some snipits of really cool places.

Skip Cancun! Punta Allen south of Tulum
Is a national park with lobster fishing village. Beautiful drive

Bag Cancun and Cozumel. Holbox, Merida, Puerto Morelos all are excellent. Agree with Ruth about Punta Allen, fabulous little place.

Thats a ton of area to cover, how long are you there for? Tulum is a 2 hour drive from Cancun. Cozumel is a ferry ride and everything else is in between. I book all of our condos with www.cozumelvillas.com they also have condos in Play and Akumal areas.. up and down the coast.
