Family friendly restaurant recommendations in Paris?

Others have covered this but you should know that the Parisians will also not hesitate to let you know if your children are “misbehaving” by their standards. They don’t really have “family” restaurants as North Americans understand them.

ANYWHERE - food is fabulous.
Firstly, you need to get crepes in the street - but that doesn’t have to be dinner.
Get ham and cheese French bread sandwiches from a shop - plus Orangina.
Most restaurants have a menu on a chalkboard outside and it is usually a start-to-finish meal.
Lots of restaurants have tables outside - that’s a very French way to eat.
Oh yes - MUST have Croque Monsieur or a Croque Madame - they are very French - fried egg, ham and cheese sandwiches (they are variations of each other).
Try hot chocolate and you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven.
The lunettes de Romans are jam-filled cookies and are way better than you’d think. Those and most any confectionary treats are works of art. You’ll see those shops everywhere.
We always take a spoon with us and stop at grocery stores to get lunch. The creme fraiche (in individual yogurt-sized containers) with some fresh berries is magical.
I’d better stop. So much fun eating in France and Italy! Bon appetit!

Anywhere is fine just depends on the behaviour of your children…

I would recommend self-serve restauraunts like FLUNCH. There are 2 of those centrally in Paris, google them. I am organizing tours and travelling with Canadian school groups and like the variety of foods there, you should be able to accommodate everyone.. Not gourmet, but definitely lot better than fast food. And they have an ice cream counter that will excite the kids.

The first thing you need to know is, children in France eat whatever the parents eat, wherever the parents eat, unlike North America. You'd be more hard-pressed to find restaurants that AREN'T family friendly. Even bars allow children as long as they're accompanied by adults.
You should probably be more concerned about finding food/restaurants that suits your children's palate, if theirs isn't well-developed. You'll have a hard time finding "kids' menu" outside of fast-food joints.

Almost every single restaurant. It’s not like here at all when it comes to that. There is plenty of fast food if that what you mean but you’ll also find lots of street venders selling amazing baguette sandwiches.

Paul bakeries in most train stations - yummy pain au chocolat. Steak frites is commonly on menus and in my experience, most Alberta kids loves meat and fries.

We travelled to France and ate in restaurants with our kids ages 8 and 6. They were very accepting of families. I agree with KD.

Jennifer i agree with other comments. We tried to experience the French experience and stopped many lunches in bistros for a baguette or crepe lunch that allowed for great people watching. Other days we grabbed parts and went back to bnb and assembled. Sit down meals , even with kids , can get pricey
