Looking for recommendations on good / cute / comfy / fashion white sneakers for walking while traveling. Bonus points if they fit wide feet. Not converse as they dont have arch support and are too narrow. TY!

Irene I have these

Love them both! The Kimmie's took more break in time though, they were initially quite snug across the top of my foot as I have a high instep.

If you can find a pair, I have Reiker sneakers in a light gray fabric. Super light and really comfy, but harder to find. Vionics are nice, but too narrow for my feet. Kunitz shoes is a great place to start.

Tiramisu Italian Shoes and Accessories in High Street. They have excellent shoes. They aren’t cheap though. One of the owners is a podiatric nurse.

Saucony would be my choice…..
Go to an actual footwear shop & not some big box chain store to find some good shoes for yourself…… worth it to spend a little extra….

I second Skechers - we’ve done a fair bit of travelling and no problems at all; they’re good for my wide feet. I have 2 pairs and prefer the ones with the ‘leather’ uppers vs fabric uppers for our days that have LOTS of walking!

Profile picture of Irene

Irene

Anne I love my Skechers, I didn’t know they had ‘leather’ upper models

If you don't mind spending the $, I wore my Altras 5m cushion while walking the camino. They are known for their wide toe box. Go to Fast Trax on 101 Ave. They are the best for helping you choose your footwear. Edmonton little hidden gem of a store.

Remonte shoes are the best, I’m a senior and love the side zipper. They have great insoles that can be removed & you can put custom orthotics in. I buy them at Kunitz shoes, Edmonton. The store is great ! I have a fairly wide foot and because of the lace you can adjust to fit.

Vionics all the way. Even their flip flops are amazing for summer walking. I can spend the entire day in them and not have sore feet. I wear their flats and boots to work, runners for walking, and flip flops all summer. It's the only brand that keeps my feet happy all day long.
