Yes

I was there last week and I was told it was illegal in Mexico but they are still running it. From airport to Nuevo Varretta for 1-4 people was 344 pesos which is almost double when you return because of airport surcharge. Going back to airport was 175 pesos. Currently exchange rate was 13.60 pesos to 1 CDN dollar. On your VISA card it was about 14.50 pesos to 1 CDN dollar.

Thx Michael
Jim
Lots of cabs right outside the main doors,,pretty cheap .
Jim
or if you're at a resort they have shuttles
Kathy
I wouldn't recommend it does not sit well with the taxi drivers.
Sue
Taxi cost from airport is probably the most you will pay for a taxi your entire visit -- and it's still pretty reasonable. As Jim said, most resorts also have shuttles.
Jim
Are you staying at a resort Gisele ??
Gisele
Yes
Jim
which one??
Chris
You can walk across the pedestrian bridge with the bags and the uber will pick you up no problem. But it's a battle between taxi drivers and uber at the airport.
Gisele
Thx everyone you are most helpful! Taxi it is!
Mike
Best thing to do is as soon as you get out , turn left and walk out up to pederstrian bridge cross over and taxis are about 25% cheaper

Booking an Uber from Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR)
If you're planning to visit the beautiful beach town of Puerto Vallarta, chances are you'll be arriving at the Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR). While taxis are readily available at the airport, many travelers prefer the convenience and often lower cost of ridesharing services like Uber.
Can You Book an Uber from PVR Airport?
Yes, you can absolutely book an Uber from the Puerto Vallarta Airport! Uber operates in the city, and the app functions just like it does in other destinations. However, there are a few important things to keep in mind when requesting an Uber from PVR.
Follow These Steps to Book Your Uber:
- After collecting your luggage, head to the designated rideshare pickup area at the airport. This is typically located outside the arrivals area, and there should be signs directing you to the correct location.
- Open the Uber app on your smartphone and request a ride. Be sure to select the correct pickup location, which should be the rideshare pickup area at the airport.
- Wait for your driver to arrive and confirm your name and destination. Many drivers at the airport speak English, but it's always helpful to have your destination address written down just in case.
- Load your luggage into the vehicle, and enjoy a comfortable ride to your hotel or vacation rental.
Tips for Using Uber at PVR Airport
- Have a reliable internet connection: You'll need a strong internet connection to request and communicate with your Uber driver. Consider purchasing a local SIM card or using an international data plan to ensure connectivity.
- Confirm the driver's details: As with any rideshare service, double-check the driver's name, vehicle information, and license plate number before getting into the car.
- Agree on the price: While Uber provides an estimated fare, it's always a good idea to confirm the price with your driver before starting the trip, especially if you're traveling a long distance.
- Consider traffic conditions: Puerto Vallarta can experience heavy traffic, especially during peak seasons and holidays. Factor in potential delays when planning your travel time.
By following these tips and using the Uber app at the Puerto Vallarta Airport, you can enjoy a hassle-free and affordable transportation option to your destination in this beautiful Mexican beach town.
