Kadek ([email protected]) was a great guy based out of Ubud that we did a full day trip to the UNESCO rice fields and waterfalls. They also have a clean and cute small family run lodgings if you are in need. Search "sukas house ubud" and you'll see lots of pictures.
Maghan
Thank you!
Nathan

We were there in May and the going rate for 8-10 hours with a driver was $45 bucks divided by 3 people. He has wifi in his car and his name is Adex. He has what's app +62 818 05323268
Maghan

Daphne
Dewa Jernat, he has a Facebook page. I highly recommend him, our family used him when we visited Bali, u won't be disappointed.
Maghan
Thanks Daphne! There's several people with the same name coming up here on FB. Can you confirm which one he is? Also, do you remember his approx. rate?
Alvin
I was just in Bali a couple of weeks ago. A few friends took the shuttle bus that takes you from Seminyak to Ubud. They got picked up right from our hostel. I believe the cost is 70,000 IDR.
Maghan
Perfect! That'll save me one taxi trip! Thanks!
Alvin
No problem, where bouts in Seminyak are you staying? I found a pretty cheap laundry place near Legian beach after reading reviews online. They charge 20,000 IDR per kilo. Let me know if you need help finding anything.
Maghan
Am staying in that area too so I'll keep that in mind! Top 5 see/eat there?
Alvin
You should check out Potato Head Beach Club. The ceviche and cocktails were really good. Should definitely grab a seat on the beach and grab a drink. Breakfast at Coffee Corner is good and if you're looking for a quick bite Koko Bar and Restaurant was pretty good.
I didn't do a whole lot in Bali, just eat, drink and relax on the beach.
If you want to go check out a mall, there's one connected to the Sheraton Hotel.
If you want the location of a night market not too far, let me know.

Pak Gede Sideman, Padang Bai. An awesome man and very good driver
Maghan
Thanks!!
Daphne
He's the one posing with an elephant, beside his name says bali tour services. He charges like IDR 50,000 a day for a car which can fit up to 5-7 pax. He will even pick U up form the airport. U can check his Facebook and see the places he takes tourists too! He is highly recommended by many people!
Maghan
Thank you! I like that I can add him on FB before hiring a semi stranger.
I will message him based on your recommendation!

Planning a trip to the enchanting island of Bali and in need of a trusted private driver? Whether you're exploring the vibrant streets of Seminyak or seeking tranquility in Ubud, finding a reliable driver is essential for a seamless and memorable experience.
While Bluebird taxis are a great option for short trips, for extended excursions or multiple-day adventures, a private driver provides the convenience and flexibility you need. Here are a few highly recommended private drivers who have received positive feedback from travelers:
- Gede Suyasa: Gede is an experienced and knowledgeable driver who offers a range of services including airport transfers, day trips, and multi-day tours. He is highly rated for his friendly demeanor, punctual service, and comfortable vehicle.
- Wayan Oka: Wayan is a seasoned driver with an excellent understanding of Bali's culture and attractions. He is known for his safe driving, personalized itinerary suggestions, and genuine desire to share the beauty of the island.
- Gung Trisna: Gung is a professional driver who has been in the industry for many years. He is highly recommended for his reliability, attention to detail, and ability to customize tours based on your interests.
To ensure the best possible experience, consider the following tips when booking a private driver in Bali:
- Check online reviews: Look for drivers who have consistently received positive feedback from previous clients.
- Contact multiple drivers: Reach out to several drivers to compare prices, availability, and services offered.
- Ask for references: Request references from friends, family, or travel agents who have used the driver's services in the past.
- Book in advance: Especially during peak season, it's advisable to book your driver well in advance to secure their availability.
- Confirm arrangements: Before your trip, confirm all details with the driver, including pickup time, itinerary, and payment arrangements.
With a reliable private driver at your disposal, you can fully immerse yourself in the beauty and experiences that Bali has to offer. From exploring the bustling Seminyak markets to discovering the serene rice paddies of Ubud, your private driver will ensure a safe, comfortable, and unforgettable journey throughout your stay.

Heading to Bali (Seminyak and Ubud) and will be needing a driver for a few days here and there. Does anyone have a tried and true recommendation for a private driver (will stick with Bluebird taxis for shorter trips)? Thanks in advance!
