I tried authentic food when I was there like Montreal smoked meat, poutine, and lots of good French restaurants in old Montreal and had beef bourginon. Really depends on what you're up to. I was more a bout local French food. Even checked bakeries for croissants. Quiche. Anything French lol and they were all good

Yeah, I love all good food! Will def check out the best Poutine and Croissants, I was born in Chile so I heard about an amazing Chilean restaurant, so that’s on list too

When we went last summer, we looked at the tv show "you gotta eat here". Found some great spots to eat all over the city. Take a look at what type of food interests you then look at reviews.

Kinka Izakaya (yummy Japanese tapas - try their sake bomb and agree to have them yell! It's a fun experience)
Les enfant terribles (Delicious comfort food)
La Banquise (Great poutine)
Dorothy
L'Avenue for brunch - go early to avoid the wait! Dieu du Ciel for beers and Hof Kelsten for delicious Jewish and French baked goodies!
