My hubby and I went to Portugal for our 25th and it was great. We were there in February. Otherwise the French Riviera is also nice that time of year.

South of Turkey can still be quite warm. How long can you be away, and what's your budget? There are also places in the world where it will be spring instead of fall, but do you want a 20 hr. flight?

we only have a week to 10 days, so a 20 hour flight might not be the best option.

We went to Cancun in October. The weather was very hot. It rained a little tiny bit. My sister often goes to puerto Vallarta in October. She always has good weather.

Huatulco Mexico.....................Las Brisas Resort(gated). Beautiful, 3 beaches(with bars on each beach) that are steps apart from each other yet all part of the resort. Restaurants onsite,less than 10 min cab ride to a small town to see some cool stuff and lots of great eateries. Take the Boat cruise for the day , it was a GREAT time. We booked through sunwing(Not one complaint-we lucked out with a bit more leg room as well)

I see today that air canada has posted flights to Rio Brazil at $975 - might be worth looking into. good beaches etc.

United has a fare that's currently good for booking until Thursday that can get you to Cancun and back for as little as CAD$473. It might rain a little, but is otherwise warm all year round!
