I lived in Antibes for 4 months (January - May). It is such a cute little town. One consideration if you are looking to relax on the beach: the beaches in Antibes / Juan-les-Pins are more sandy than the rocky beach in Nice (don’t get me wrong...still a great beach). Also, as the towns are a bit smaller it may be easier to find a place close to the beach.
There’s also a beautiful walk nearby (Cap d’Antibes coastal walk). Wherever you choose to stay, I would suggest checking out the beaches and that walk
Other highlights would be Monaco (day trip only) and the Èze Jardin Exotique hike.
If you are not renting a car, all of these beautiful spots along the French Riviera can be easily accessed by train/bus.
Have fun! It is truly one of my favourite places in Europe.

We enjoyed Nice. Stayed in a hotel on the promenade overlooking the water within walking distance to old town. Took a day trip to Monaco, amazing. Bring water shoes if you plan on hitting the beach. I wasn’t aware that it’s all rocks instead of sand.

And on a Friday head over the border into Italy to Ventimiglia about ten minute train ride from Monaco. They have a great outdoor market and nice stroll up the hill to an old church.

Nice had more reasonable choices when we went through. Nice place and easy access to see the area. Monaco was very expensive but worth a day trip.

Nice
!!! That was on top of Castle Hill.
My boyfriend and I just left that amazing city. Was beyond gorgeous and the water is prestige! Though it is rock beaches (you need to travel out if the city for the sandy ones). But nice has everything! Tons of food, markets, nightlife, beaches, shopping. Ugh I didn’t want to leave

Monaco is a must see! My Favourite out of all those places!

Where to Stay in the French Riviera
If you're looking for a low key place to relax on the beach and do some sightseeing in the French Riviera, there are several great options to consider for your 3-night stay at the end of September.
Nice
Nice is a popular destination on the French Riviera known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant markets, and charming old town. You can relax on the pebbled beaches, stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, and visit the historic Castle Hill for panoramic views of the city.
Cannes
Cannes is famous for its film festival, but it also offers stunning beaches, luxury shopping, and a picturesque old town. You can relax on the sandy beaches of La Croisette, explore the boutiques on Rue d'Antibes, and visit the Lerins Islands for a day trip.
Antibes
Antibes is a charming town with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a beach getaway. You can visit the Picasso Museum, stroll through the old town's narrow streets, and relax on the sandy beaches of Juan-les-Pins.
Saint Tropez
Saint Tropez is a glamorous destination known for its luxury yachts, designer boutiques, and trendy beach clubs. You can relax on the sandy beaches of Pampelonne, explore the old town's cobblestone streets, and visit the iconic Saint Tropez Citadel.
Day Trips
If you're open to day trips, you can easily visit other towns along the French Riviera such as Monaco, known for its upscale casinos and the Prince's Palace, or Eze, a medieval hilltop village with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Overall, no matter which destination you choose, you're sure to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the French Riviera at the end of September.

Looking for recommendations on where to stay in the French Riviera for 3 nights at the end of September. Seems to be lots of great options; Nice, Cannes,
Antibes, Saint Tropez, etc. Looking for a low key place to relax on the beach and do some site seeing. Open to day trips to other towns or Monaco.
