Flying into Vancouver about midnight next week. We may need a decent/affordable hotel instead of driving 1.5 hours home. Any recommendations close to airport??

Yes, Accent inn is great & very reasonable (even cheap for Richmond)!

Shuttle doesn't run between midnight and 03:00, so be prepared to fork over $20 for a taxi (unless they have uber airport pickups yet, in which case this is a solid recommendation).

Did that this morning! Ended up that Travelodge was the cheapest. We have stayed there before. It was great! I've rebooked them. Right behind in another hotel, there is a Moxie's. Just a walk across the parking lot. Great place to eat.

Coast hotel Marine Drive.

Try stay Richmond. They have deals on til the end of March 75-125 off the first night and 50 off other nights.

Pacific Gateway is the closest to the airport besides the Fairmont.

Second the Coast Hotel! It's got a free shuttle to and from the airport and was a great price!! I thought it was clean and nice inside too!

Holiday Inn Express.

We have stayed at both the Travelodge and Holiday Inn Express. Both very nice. I prefer the Travelodge though as it is quieter. Holiday Inn can have a lot more traffic noise. Both have great shuttle services.

Terrible advice! That's nowhere near the airport. The original poster is arriving at midnight and looking for somewhere to crash before driving home the next morning. Definitely don't want to steer her further afield than Richmond!
