How to survive a 15+ hour flight without losing your mind?

Looking for tips for surviving 15+ hour flights. Do you have any methods/advice to handle being on the plane for that long/jet-leg?

Try getting an Ativan prescription from your doc. It'll make you really relaxed and sleepy. I used it on my flight to Japan and it made it much more tolerable. I just felt all cozy in my seat and had some naps and watched movies.

Ativan is an anti anxiety, and if you dont have anxiety it can have the reverse effect and make you very hyper. Dont take meds you dont need.

Ativan is my travel buddy. Even for 3 hour flights. All about that Ativan. I sleep well on it and it chills me out so I feel content being cozy in my seat rather than clock watching

iPad with movie shows downloaded. Music. Books. Get wifi if you can.

I do a few YYZ-SYD trips per year, usually about 21-23 hour flight total.
For jet lag - set your phone to the time of your destination at the beginning of your flight & base sleep around that.
For a great sleep I use Melatonin combined with Gravol. Nice & gentle

Don’t get a good nights sleep before. So you can sleep on the plane..
Warm socks! And ask for extra blankets if you need it.
Brush your teeth/ use the washroom when people are asleep or when it’s less busy.
If you’re traveling alone.. aisle seat so you can walk around to stretch your legs!
My family does these long flights going back home so we’re used to it.

I just returned from Delhi on AC 43 a direct 14.5 hour flight. Going I upgraded to Business ...expensive but worth it ....returning I flew Premium Economy ..... not worth the extra money. .....spend $100 and book a bulkhead window seat in economy if you cannot afford Business ....... get a set of good ear plugs and a eye mask ......

Usually, I set my watch for the time on arrival and I try to stay awake during the new day time and sleep at time I am supposed to sleep there.... In betwen, I eat, watch movies and read.

Get up and walk around regularly. Drink plenty of water, and try to sleep at the appropriate time as the arrival sleepy time.

Try to upgrade to a bulk head seat, usually only $100 more and changed my experience so much for my 17 hr direct flight I recently did. Also download Netflix to an ipad. Chill easy music helps make you sleepy.

It's not too bad. Stay hydrated. The free booze with the meals will be tempting but will dry you out like crazy. I always bring my own water bottle on these long haul flights so I can fill up my own bottle (you can ask the attendants) and save all those plastic cups used.
