I've booked good deals for that time frame a few days after New Year. If you're not overly picky, you can book a 4/5* a few days out on sell-off vacations .com. I did that last March (1 day prior) and stayed at a fab Mayan 5* for $1400 all-in. I telephoned them direct and asked "what leaves tomorrow?" and they gave me 3/4 choices.

Black Friday Deals for Mexico and Caribbean Trips
Hello, fellow travel enthusiasts! If you're planning a post-Christmas getaway to Mexico or the Caribbean, you're on the right track. Black Friday is an excellent time to snag fantastic deals on travel packages, but it's important to know where to look and when to book.
Top Websites for Black Friday Travel Deals
Here are some popular websites that often offer great Black Friday deals on Mexico and Caribbean vacations:
- Expedia: This well-known travel site typically offers discounts on flights, hotels, and vacation packages during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Keep an eye out for package deals that bundle airfare, accommodations, and sometimes even extras like rental cars or activities.
- Travelocity: Similar to Expedia, Travelocity is known for its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, which can include significant savings on flights, hotels, and vacation packages to popular destinations like Mexico and the Caribbean.
- Priceline: Priceline's "Express Deals" feature can be a great way to score discounted hotel rates during Black Friday. You may not know the exact hotel until after booking, but you can narrow it down by location, star rating, and amenities.
- CheapCaribbean.com: As the name suggests, this site specializes in Caribbean vacations and often offers enticing Black Friday deals on all-inclusive resorts and vacation packages.
Timing is Key
While Black Friday is undoubtedly a popular time to book travel, it's not the only opportunity to find great deals. Many travel experts recommend booking Mexico and Caribbean vacations several months in advance, as prices tend to rise as the travel dates approach.
Additionally, consider being flexible with your travel dates and destinations. Shoulder seasons (the periods just before and after peak season) can offer significant savings, and lesser-known destinations may have better deals than popular hotspots.
Pro Tips
- Sign up for email newsletters and follow your favorite travel brands on social media to stay informed about upcoming sales and promotions.
- Use price-tracking tools like Kayak's Price Forecast or Hopper to monitor airfare prices and get alerts when they're expected to rise or fall.
- Consider booking flights and accommodations separately if bundled packages aren't offering significant savings.
- Be prepared to act quickly when you spot a great deal, as the best offers often sell out fast.
Happy travel planning, and may you find the perfect Black Friday deal for your Mexico or Caribbean getaway!

Hi Folks,
Planning a trip to Mexico or the Caribbean for just after Christmas. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for websites to book through that usually have great Black Friday Deals?
Or is there a better time/place to book? Currently thinking expedia or redtag on Black Friday.
Thanks!
