What's the best way to get from Narita IA to Tokyo?

Hi all, can anyone tell me the best way to get from Narita IA to Tokyo? I know it's at least an hours drive...so train or bus? And does anyone know the cost of the train passes for travel to Kyoto and Hiroshima?

You can avail online JRExpress ticket for reasonable price i guess 60CDN$ for 7days and u can use it in train and bus..hope it helps

Buy the rail pass that is only open to foreigners as it is dirt cheap compared to regular tickets.

Remember you can get the train passes in Canada....don't wait to get them in Japan..Well worth it if you are travelling long distances...otherwise you can get day or week passes if you are staying in just one city....and pay for day trips to places nearby...example..if you want to go to Kobe from Osaka...you can get a day pass boast/train/ day pass for around 25 dollars at the airport when you land there...comes complete with a tour map......

How to Get from Narita IA to Tokyo

There are two main ways to get from Narita IA to Tokyo: by train or by bus.

By Train

The Narita Express train is the fastest and most convenient way to get from Narita IA to Tokyo. The train takes about 53 minutes to reach Shinjuku Station, and costs 3,020 yen one-way.

To take the Narita Express, simply follow the signs for the train at Narita IA. The train departs from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. You can purchase tickets at the ticket machines or from a station attendant.

By Bus

The Keisei Bus is a cheaper option than the Narita Express, but it takes longer to reach Tokyo. The bus takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach Tokyo Station, and costs 1,000 yen one-way.

To take the Keisei Bus, simply follow the signs for the bus at Narita IA. The bus departs from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. You can purchase tickets at the ticket machines or from a bus driver.

Train Pass Costs

If you are planning on traveling extensively by train in Japan, you may want to purchase a Japan Rail Pass. The Japan Rail Pass allows you to travel on all JR trains, including the Narita Express.

The cost of the Japan Rail Pass varies depending on the length of time you purchase it for.

  • 7 days: 29,650 yen
  • 14 days: 45,100 yen
  • 21 days: 57,750 yen

You can purchase the Japan Rail Pass before you arrive in Japan, or at a JR ticket office in Japan.
