If you go to Times Square, they have "red ticket booths" that sell tickets to all Broadway productions. If you arrive right first thing in the morning, you should be able to get discounted tickets for same day performances. We were successful last fall doing it that way. You will LOVE New York!

Hi Taraleigh thanks for the tip. The red ticket booths are you referring to TKTS? Do you know which booths sell Lion King? I checked TKTS recently and they did not sell Lion King tickets

You have to go in person to the Red Ticket Booth the day of the production, if you're looking for a deal. No early purchases as they are considered last minute seats. Have fun. Lion King is amazing.

How to Score Lion King Tickets in the Center Orchestra for Chris' Trip

Chris is going to New York City from September 23-29 and wants to see the Lion King on Broadway. Here are some tips on how to get the best seats in the center orchestra:

  1. Buy tickets in advance. The earlier you buy your tickets, the more likely you are to get good seats. Tickets for the Lion King go on sale about six months in advance, so start checking websites and ticket brokers as soon as possible.
  2. Be flexible with your dates and times. If you are not able to buy tickets for the dates and times you want, you may be able to get better seats if you are willing to be flexible. For example, you may be able to get better seats for a matinee performance than an evening performance.
  3. Check for discounts. There are sometimes discounts available for Lion King tickets, such as student discounts, senior discounts, and military discounts. Be sure to ask about discounts when you are buying your tickets.
  4. Use a ticket broker. If you are unable to get good seats on your own, you can try using a ticket broker. Ticket brokers typically have access to better seats than the general public, but they will charge you a fee for their services.

I hope these tips help Chris get the best seats possible for the Lion King. Enjoy the show!
