Question- Is it better to book flights as a full package for Europe or to book flights separately-
For example, if you are leaving from Vancouver to pick up a cruise in Venice that lands in Athens ultimately and you are looking to make a trip to London as well and then return to Vancouver, Are you better off
A) Book Vancouver to Venice, Athens to London and London to Vancouver all together OR
B) Book Vancouver to Venice and London to Vancouver and then book Athens to London… See more

the best way I have found is to plan a multi-city flight with your anticipated dates on https://www.ca.kayak.com/flights, then you can see the options that might be available to you. A trip to Venice will have a stop in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt on the way there...should run you around 1300.....it takes a bit of work, but you probablly can find some goo rates. Another option is to look at air transat YVR to LON return, then for your european legs London to venice and Athens to London look at the edreams site - lots of low cost interEuropean flights http://ca.edreams.com/

Quick search of air transat shows price of about $800pp YVR-LON return and edreams price for LON-VEN and ATH-LON starting at about $350PP

You could also do a train from London to Venice, about 16 hours, passing thru France, Switzerland and Italy - but a great way to see a lot of countryside -, about $200pp try https://www.rome2rio.com for a variety of options

westjet also goes to London. You can save a few hundred by flying into Gatwick instead of Heathrow.

I flew klm return to Amsterdam from Vancouver earlier his year and they included my European "internal" flights from Amsterdam to Venice and Rome to Amsterdam at no cost.
So double check directly on the airline sites...saved me a bundle. Good luck.

I went to Europe for One month and I used Sally from flight centre in Langley and it was worth the small comssion for her to make arrangements for flights and connections etc in Europe.. I was amazed how well the arrangements worked out and the savings..."Near the the theatres."

if you book your flight and cruise together with same tour operator.. like expedia cruiseship centre or westjet vacation that has full access to american airlines and delta airlines vacation code share.. if any disruption or cancellations due to weather in your flights.. thevtour opetator will reassign u new flights or put u in a hotel free of charge.

Is it Better to Book Flights as a Full Package for Europe or to Book Flights Separately?

This is a question that many travelers ask themselves when planning a trip to Europe. There are pros and cons to both options, so it's important to weigh the factors carefully before making a decision.

Booking a Full Package

Booking a full package can be a great way to save money and time. Many airlines and tour operators offer packages that include flights, accommodation, and other services, such as tours and excursions. This can be a convenient way to plan your trip, and it can also help you to save money compared to booking everything separately.

However, there are also some drawbacks to booking a full package. One is that you may have less flexibility in your itinerary. For example, if you book a package that includes a specific flight, you may not be able to change your flight time or date without paying a penalty. Additionally, packages may not always offer the best prices on flights and accommodation. If you're willing to do some research, you may be able to find better deals by booking your flights and accommodation separately.

Booking Flights Separately

Booking flights separately can give you more flexibility and control over your itinerary. You'll be able to choose the flights that best fit your schedule and budget, and you'll have the freedom to change your plans if necessary. Additionally, you may be able to find better deals on flights by booking them separately, especially if you're willing to travel during off-peak seasons.

However, booking flights separately can also be more time-consuming and stressful. You'll need to research different airlines and compare prices, and you'll need to make sure that your flights connect properly. Additionally, you'll need to book your accommodation and other services separately, which can be a hassle.

So, which option is better?

The best option for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. If you're looking for a convenient and affordable way to plan your trip, booking a full package may be a good option. However, if you want more flexibility and control over your itinerary, booking flights separately may be a better choice.
