Trains are the fastest way to get around from my experience, bit expensive but worth it over 12 hour bus rides. Book online a few days or more in advance for the cheapest rates!

With just 12 days to explore some of Spain's most iconic cities, planning your itinerary is crucial. Here's a suggested travel plan and must-see attractions for your upcoming trip:

  1. Madrid (Start)
  2. Barcelona (3 days): Take the high-speed AVE train from Madrid to Barcelona (2.5 hours)
  3. Malaga (2 days): Fly from Barcelona to Malaga (1.5 hours)
  4. Granada (2 days): Take a bus or train from Malaga to Granada (1.5-2 hours)
  5. Seville (3 days): Take a bus or train from Granada to Seville (3 hours)
  6. Madrid (End): Take the high-speed AVE train from Seville to Madrid (2.5 hours)

Must-See Attractions

  • Madrid: Museo del Prado, Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel
  • Barcelona: La Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter
  • Malaga: Alcazaba, Roman Theatre, Gibralfaro viewpoint, Picasso Museum
  • Granada: Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens, Albayzín neighborhood, Sacromonte Caves
  • Seville: Catedral de Sevilla, Real Alcázar, Plaza de España, Barrio Santa Cruz

Transportation Tips

The high-speed AVE trains are the fastest and most comfortable way to travel between major cities in Spain. Book your tickets well in advance for the best rates. For shorter distances, buses and local trains are also efficient and affordable options.
