Where Can We Find Adults-Only, All-Inclusive Villas for My Boyfriend's 50th Birthday?

Question:

There aren’t many all inclusive in the states so you’ll have to consider Mexico or the Dominican Republic.
So many options. Decide what’s important to you (beach? Food? Water activities? Access to town/city? Direct flights? Party atmosphere?)
Much easier to to recommend if you list your preferences.
Secrets resorts and Sandals are two of the bigger adult only networks…

Sharon true that
Beach yes
Food super important
Water activities maybe a little less important
Access to town I think it would depend where I'm located as I've heard some horror stories lol
Flights we really don't care about
Party not so much I mean I would love a movie set type with this tiny little tiki hut bar on the beach with a fire and maybe 20 people drinking and dancing away lol
Ironically what hits me the most but I think of this type of trip is from full House when they won the tickets to go see the Beach boys LOL I guess that's what I picture a tropical vacation

Mela well if you want small and fabulous food I’d suggest Zoetry Villa Rolandi on Isla Mujeres in Mexico. The food is gourmet… we are foodies and it’s not just good resort food, it’s good compared to Michelin star quality. No buffet-all cooked to order and anything you want. The main restaurant is open to the public but the gourmet one is only for guests for dinner and is a 7 course fixed menu that changes daily.
Only 35 rooms. No “party” but lovely bar. Small beach but swimmable. It’s not adult only but there aren’t many kids because it’s not kid oriented and they pay full price.
The island is quite safe - rent a golf cart and tour around.
They will pick you up on the dock in Cancun in their catamaran….if your hours are right. No extra cost. YEG flights are often late so we book a cheap hotel by the dock and have them pick us up at 1100am the next day to start our holiday with a full day
The hotel is old world charm and the staff amazing. But it’s not cheap.
For less money, look at secrets Huatulco. It’s got a gorgeous beach and a private bay that’s usually swimmable. And very walkable. And it’s consistently hot—34-35°. Little rain. Food not as good as VR but still reasonable quality. All the rooms face to ocean so it’s not worth an upgrade to balcony jacuzzi because they are NOT private.
I particularly like the secrets chain because the restaurants are mostly first come first serve. If they’re busy you get a beeper so go to a nearby bar to wait. I’ve been to Barcelo Maya Palace and to get into the seated restaurants you have to book the whole week right after check in and you still won’t get them all. I don’t know on Sunday what time I’ll want to eat Thursday!!!
I have a friend who really likes Sandals but they’re on Caribbean islands and usually harder to get to from here.

We loved los Cabos!!! We stayed in a resort but have looked at lots of airbnb type options for next time. It’s nice as it’s in the middle of Cabo and San Jose. Lots of fun options around for fun and great food and drinks!
Sarah
Check out booking.com or airbnb they always have a ton of options! It’s the only place I book accommodations

I loved Great Huts in Jamaica. Away from the big resorts.

I think this depends on your budget, but i would HIGHLY recommend Coco’s Antigua. It’s an amazing boutique resort with the best food I have ever had at a resort. Not a party place at all but you can find great parties on the small island if you want. It’s truly beautiful and the people were absolutely wonderful.

El Dorado Royale it’s a resort but they’re in small buildings, 2 stories. Or if you have the cash you can rent one of their Casitas which are villas with swim up pools and extra amenities. We’ve stayed a couple times and they’re pretty nice. They also have another resort
El Dorado Maroma, by Karisma and they have Casitas and bungalows, and lots of activities. Both are in Mayan Rivieria.

Just a suggestion; why not find out what your BF is really into and plan a trip around that?
Anyone can go to an all inclusive any time.
My 50th was centred around cars. We went to Japan and attended one major event at Fuji Speedway that I had always wanted to go to and visited related museums. We filled in the gaps in the schedule with amazing cultural and natural experiences. So much more memorable.

Belize! Stay in San Pedro but take the cruise to stay in Caye Caulker for a couple nights.

We're looking to go somewhere south for my boyfriends 50th in November. I've never been further then Miami, we want adults only, all inclusive and no hotel type of stay, villas or cabins, even a 1 or 2 floor type stay is ok shoot I'd be ok with a tent ! Just not a hotel hotel. Anywhere works !!! (not the states...)
