Although alluring the golden tri is a shit show. Full of scammers and tourists. Spend the smallest amount of your trip there if at all. Hampi and southern india were absolutely amazing. Trains are cheap fairly safe and quite reliable.

Check out On The Go tours Emily! They can build custom tours if you don't want to be in a group. But group rates are always more affordable. Short stays too only a few days.

Hi Emily
I travelled for a month through India January 2016. I went with the Victoria Women's travel group.
First time there and came home with over 1700 photos and incredible memories.
Stayed at the Metropolitan in Delhi. Would recommend you do the Old Dehli tour with trip advisor. Be prepared India is amazing but a complete Masala in every sense.
I did Agra and Rajahstan. Favourite places were Jaisalmer and Pushkar.
Travelled then to Cochin Kerala for another view of the country. Getting warm even the end of January so you should be fine.
Enjoy!! I loved it!

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions!

Andamans have some beautiful coral reefs and snorkeling. I hear Sikkim is beautiful but again distant.

**Exploring India's Enchanting Gems: A Honeymoon Adventure**
Greetings, fellow travelers! My husband and I are embarking on a dreamy belated honeymoon to India in November, and we're seeking your expert guidance to make the most of our last week in this vibrant land.
Our itinerary includes the captivating Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur), followed by a pilgrimage to the enigmatic Jai Salmer and Aurungabad. However, for our grand finale, we're torn between three alluring destinations: a tiger sanctuary, the Andaman Islands, or the majestic Darjeeling-Shillong region.
Tiger Sanctuary: A Wildlife Encounter
For those seeking an encounter with India's majestic wildlife, a visit to a tiger sanctuary is an unforgettable experience. Bandhavgarh National Park, known for its high tiger density, offers guided safaris that provide an intimate glimpse into their natural habitat.
Andaman Islands: Pristine Paradise
If the allure of crystal-clear waters and untouched beaches captivates you, consider the Andaman Islands. Nestled off the coast of India, this archipelago boasts pristine coral reefs, vibrant marine life, and secluded white-sand shores. Havelock Island and Neil Island are popular destinations for snorkeling, diving, and sunbathing.
Darjeeling-Shillong: Hilltop Marvels
For a breathtaking blend of natural wonders and cultural heritage, head to Darjeeling-Shillong. Perched amidst the Eastern Himalayas, these hill stations offer panoramic views, lush tea plantations, and ancient monasteries. Enjoy a ride on the iconic Darjeeling Himalayan Railway or embark on a trek through the stunning hills.
Golden Triangle Driver: Reliable and Safe
To ensure a smooth and worry-free journey through the Golden Triangle, we recommend securing the services of a reputable driver. We highly recommend Mr. Rajesh Singh (email: [email protected]), who is known for his professionalism, safety consciousness, and in-depth knowledge of the region.
Dear readers, we eagerly await your recommendations and insights. Help us choose the perfect destination for our last week in India and make our honeymoon an unforgettable adventure.
Thank you for your time and travel expertise!

Hi Friends -
My husband and I will be travelling to India for our belated honeymoon in November. We will be arriving in Delhi, looking at doing the golden triangle (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur) then going to Jai Salmer and Aurungabad. Currently, for our last week there, it's a toss up between heading to a tiger sanctuary, the Andaman Islands or Darjeeling-Shillong afterwards? (I know, big differences geographically)
We are looking for recommendations for any of those places, or whether anyone has a contact for a reliable and safe driver for the golden triangle area.
Many thanks!
