We booked in Puerto Vallarta at Riu Vallarta. Lots of good restaurants, swimmable beach and good prices. PS, if you book on expedia on your phone app it’s a bit cheaper for some reason.
Sharron
Second the Riu chain. Can’t go wrong. Riu Jalisco, Riu Vallarta or Riu Palace.
Kristy
Sharron We went to the RIU Jalisco. It was nice and the beach was lovely. We were not impressed with the food though and there was an awful smell of vomit wafting out of the discoteque every time we would walk by. Lol.
Sharron
Kristy we haven’t been to that one for a couple years, but other 2 good.
Mel
Kristy the food at RIU is better then most, if you want better food you may have to break that bank a little. i find food is only really good at 5 star resorts.
Kristy
Mel we have been to 3 different resorts, all around the same price range and were least impressed with RIU Jalisco, it wasn't bad, just not the best. Not looking for gourmet...
Jason
Grand Sunset Princess
Jane
Jason Second this. Had a great time there during the off season in 2018.
Judy
Jason is that the one that had the explosion killing a few people?
Jason
Judy 12 years ago yes. We were there in March and it was fantastic
Alaala
just came back from my vacation at cancun and stayed at grand sunset princess. So awesome. Highly recommended
Gareth
Riu Santa Fe absolutely. Get surrounding area to to venture out downtown
Sharron
Gareth No swimmable beach.
Fabiana
Riu Santa Fe in Los Cabos. Btw, deals from Abbotsford to Los Cabos through swoop, that low cost airline!
Sarah
Fabiana Simões love love love Riu Santa Fe
Fabiana
One of my best experiences!
Arek
Awesome place!
Sandra
Rip Santa Fe worst Riu I have been to.
Chris
Ventus at marina el cid $700 cad pp all inc hotel only
Jenny
Been to Mexico 30 times and stayed at the Riu Santa Fe once and will never go back. There is a reason it is so cheap. Party central for 20 yo. Terrible rooms, awful food. Should be listed as a 2 star!
Celia
Jenny is July a good month to go Mexico? Is it too hot and wet? The travel agent told me not to go in July.
Kevin
Celia . Not necessarily wet but super hot
Troy
Lots of choices if you need help planning or booking a trip , please reach out to me
Dave
Depends how big your bank is.
Lisa
Bahia in Mayan riviera. You pay for what you get
Judy
Lee Sahh Love the place as been 18 times but beaches are terrible especially now with the Sargasso
Susanna
We did Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancún All Inclusive. I liked that you don’t need to make reservations for the restaurants and they had great options to eat. Rooms were amazing as well
Judy
TIP~ whenever your searching do it in an Incognito window or be sure to delete your cookies as they track you and prices rise each time. We find deals on line and take to a TA as best to have one working with you in case of emergency. They will find same deals for you with links provided.
Karen
Judy same!
Judy
Karen especially with all the delayed flights lately one would have been hooped for costs.
Robin
Really enjoyed the el cid in mazatlan. Great beach and pools.
Janine
Robin second this - best AI value we’ve ever had. The beach is not fantastic but multiple pools and restaurants, pool bars, beach bar/restaurant more than made up for this.
Bee
Robin booking was trough the agent or online btw?
Robin
Bee we used our timeshare interval international certificate.
Bee
Robin Thanks

Barceló Maya Palace

I second the Grand Palladium in punta mita, Puerto Vallarta. I’ve gone there 4 times and the food is always great. I’ve stayed at the exclusive side and the reg side and enjoyed both. If your looking to party late into the night i found the dance bar pretty empty as seems like more of a family resort. But i believe the exclusive side is adults only.
Teresa
My sister-in-law has been here 5 times. I must say it looks like a pretty too notch all inclusive https://www.facebook.com/ExcellenceRivieraCancun/
Toni
I am a Palladium Travel Club Member. Any of the Palladium Hotels in Punta Mita or in Mayan Riviera or Cancun will provide you with a very pleasant vacation.
Teresa
Toni I was a member too for the lowest level i could afford lol but i agree the member benefits are great

Loved Riu Emerald Bay! Great pool options (including two for adults only), nice beach with part of it sectioned off for hotel guests only, all rooms have an ocean view and the BEST food I have ever had at an all inclusive!

Looking for an all-inclusive resort in Mexico that won't break the bank but offers great service, dining options, and a nice, swimmable beach? Here are a few recommendations:
- Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa: This resort is located on the beautiful Costa Mujeres beach, just north of Cancun. It offers a wide range of activities and amenities, including a large pool, a swim-up bar, a fitness center, and a spa. The dining options are also excellent, with a variety of restaurants serving international cuisine.
- Iberostar Selection Cancun: This resort is located in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone. It offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, as well as a variety of pools, restaurants, and bars. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the service is top-notch.
- Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun: This resort is located on a secluded beach in the Riviera Maya. It offers a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere than some of the larger resorts in the area. The rooms are decorated in a contemporary style, and the dining options are excellent.
- Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: This adults-only resort is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. It offers a variety of luxurious amenities, including a private beach, a pool with a swim-up bar, and a world-class spa. Looking for recommendations for all inclusive resorts in Mexico that don't break the bank but offer great service, dinning options and a nice, swimmable beach for a couples getaway but doesn't have to be adult only.
