Stone island is awesome. I loved Joes oyster bar. But it’s been years

I can’t remember what it’s called but there is a centre plaza thing that turns into a street market at night with some live music and all around the square are restaurants and bars. It’s amazing.

You don't mention your vaccination status - make sure you and your friends are aware of the new rules to board a plane in Canada. As of Oct 30, you must be fully-vaccinated -- there is a one-month grace period until Nov 30 where if you're not yet fully-vaccinated, you must show a negative PCR test to board the plane. And of course, not new, all travelers need a negative PCR test to enter/return to Canada, regardless of vaccination status. Have fun in Mexico.

Walk the Malecon, go to Looney Bean for coffee. Watch the cliff divers, shop in the golden zone, drink margaritas at Margarita’s restaurant and bar, walk Cerritos beach and go to the Looney Bean on the North end of the beach.
Take a ride in a Pulmania, which is a type of taxi service, but looks like a golf cart. We even hired one of them to take us on a tour of Mazatlan. Make sure you visit Old Town. Very pretty and a few good restaurants there, too.
Eat at Mr Lionso restaurant and bar on 2 for 1 night (Sunday?) or was that just Happy Hour… I recall two fisting my margaritas there.
There was also a ribs place near there that was good.
Enjoy a meal or a drink at Surf’s Up. They also used to get musicians there. Have pizza and drinks at La Mona pizza in the marina. They used to have “heads or tails” night on Wednesday, I think. The server flips a Coin and if you call it correctly you get your drink for free.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been there, but these were things we did because my friend had a condo on Av. Sábalo Cerritos.

Take a tour in the palmamino - to old & new Mazatlan. Cheap tour and they will usually stop anywhere you want along the way Where are you staying? And yes a stop at Joe’s oyster bar - back in the day it was a happening place !
