Wondering where to unwind on a solo trip for 3-5 days?

Question:

Ideas for great trips to take for 3-5 days as a single person? I'd like to just pick up and go whenever the mood strikes, but find when it strikes I always go to Vancouver or Toronto..lol.
So I am wondering for those travelers on here who travel on their own a lot what types of short jaunts might be fun, relaxing, interesting. I have a lot of free time this year but my husband is working, so I'd like to just pick up and take off somewhere-but I don't know where is good to go!
I should mention first that the trips I am already going on this year: Las Vegas with my husband on Easter weekend, Riviera Maya with my mum in late April-early May, Jamaica with hubby in early July, Ontario in August, and a Mediterranean cruise out of Barcelona in October. So I have time in May, June, September, November and December-I'm aiming to go on at least two other short trips-up to 5 nights. Any ideas would be good-I am in desperate need of unwinding!

I travel a lot as a single guy. I usually do some short trips over the year. Also long haul travels. Lots of good places in the US. It depends what your looking to do. Wish my travel site was done. On there it will show people were they can go as a solo traveller. Message me if you wants ideas or tips. I am a very big traveller.

with only 3-5 days, stick to the west coast, Portland or Seattle, both direct on AC after May or June. San Fran is also a good option.

Wow-some great ideas-lots of places that sound good-liking the west coast for the warmth-for 5 days I'm willing to hit Chicago and places like that, including Quebec (but not until its warmer...lol). Thanks all!

Particularly liking the San Fran and Chicago-would love to do NYC but for longer I think. Not fond of dry, desert like climates, so I think Texas and anywhere like that is not really my speed. Portland sounds nice too!
