In Dublin, check out the Guinness Storehouse, Phoenix Park, Trinity College (including the book of Kells), the Jameson Distillery and go to the Temple Bar area for pubs with traditional Irish music.
The west coast of the country is also beautiful. The Cliffs of Moher are amazing as somebody mentioned and the city of Galway is worth a visit also. Further down south, you can go to some good places in Cork, Waterford, Kilkenny and Kerry.

My boyfriend and I road tripped from Dublin to Galway along the southern coast, Slea Head drive in Dingle was our favourite! It takes a couple hours to drive the windy roads but the views are breathtaking the whole way with early architecture along the way to explore.

It was fine! My boyfriend says he was comfortable with driving on the opposite side after a day. The only part that was a little tricky was getting out of Dublin. The highways and country roads are all pretty straight forward
Do you have someone in the car helping you navigate?

You'll have a great time! If you have a Canadian credit card you should already have insurance for renting a car in Ireland. That's what we were told but we didn't think to request proof from the credit card company before we got there. We ended up paying a few hundred euros additional to get insurance again tnere
so definitely make some calls before hand!
