We went to Mei Sum in China Town...best Dim Sum. Side Street Inn is also a great place to eat.
Diamond Head, aquarium was nice. Hanauma Bay is great for snorkeling but it’s not open on Tuesday. Can get there by bus or book the trolley bus.

Def rent a car and do the pass. I liked it so much I did it twice in the same day. And there's an awesome spot to snorkel south of turtle bay - totally free and had a lot more species of fish compared to hannama bay.

Get up early in the mornig and go to the huge tree by the McDonald's in waikiki. There's a thousands birds in there greetings the day and he sound is thunderous. Doesn't last long cause as soon as the suns up and people are around, it goes silent.

It doesn't have to be... We stay on the North Shore and spend less as a couple than we did at a mid-range all inclusive in Mexico.

Check out The Alley at Aiea Bowling Alley, they got the best oxtail soup and their cakes are so good as well. Such a busy place, sometimes we order togo if there is a long line up to sit down.

Sharks Cove for unparalleled snorkelling (way better than Hanauma Bay, imho). It can be dangerous - you have to go when the surf is low - but it's easy to read the surf charts and time your visit around them. Turtle Bay also has nice snorkelling and it's a little more protected from the surf than Sharks Cove. Kailua beach for swimming or standup paddle boarding.
